For those of you who know me you know I don't do secular beats, but after overhearing one of my students rapping the lyrics to a Kevin Gates song called 'Posed To Be In Love' it literally disgusted me. In his song apparently things weren't going well with him & I'm assuming his girlfriend, but he says they're supposed to be in love "til it ain't no breaking up". He then goes on to brag about abusing her ("Throw the left hand, you duck that one, this right * won't miss you. Beat a * like Chris Brown, go back to jail no quittin.")
Believe it or not there are people actually defending the song saying it's not about abuse. & I'm sure some people won't like what I have to say, but the truth is offensive.
