Chiptune sound, Fruity Loops, FRUIT CHIPS! *sigh*, what a sad, sad missed opportunity that was. Anyway, where was I? Something about… I don’t know, men or something. Don’t worry about it, it’s fine. IT’S FINE.

This is a song that happened on a whim, became a collaboration on a whim, and was finished on a whim. There’s no real inspiration, theme, or reason for it to even exist… but it does. And that’s all that matters in life - FRIENDSHIP OR SOMETHING. We named it with big words because they sounded cool. Just like the second half of the song; Hoo, that’s some good stuff.

I'm a big baby. Just a big 'ol cryin' scaredy baby. I could have finished this the day I started it if it wasn't for the fact that I kept working on it in the twilight hours of the morning, wracked with sleep deprivation. Many of the different individual sounds in this ended up putting me on edge, and then I had to watch videos about kittens and such until I could breathe smoothly again. Oh, also there was a deafening thunderclap as the final render completed.

Funny how my least terrifying nightmare created my most terrifying song...

So yeah, this was originally for a remix competition. I had started work on the day the stems were put up, then I procrastinated a bit, then my computer crapped out... so here we are, months later with a new computer, and it's finally done. Better late than never I guess.

Also I'm actually really happy with it. That's an achievement.

This track right here is the one that marks the turning point in my sound. To my ears, everything of mine preceding this one is lackluster and I don't like it.

By the way, if the title and cover didn't tip you off already, this song is about racin' cars, man. Hit play, close your eyes, and imagine going for a spirited ride down the highway.

So Tripulse was hosting a compilation competiton and I made this for it. I may have made it in a single sitting but that's not important. There's some story to it, as is the nature of the competition.

Tripulse Canvas initiative is a project where an artist is commissioned to make a picture based on one word, then the musicians make songs based on that picture, and the best of the bunch get put together on an album to form a story, and half of the proceeds go to charity.
