Delving into the house scene, fresh out of Brighton, we have Pray J. Providing us with flavours from the 90’s, he’s combining influences of house, garage and soul.
‘When This Song Comes On’ encapsulates the past and the future of Eton Messy Records with delicately chopped vocals, subtle reverbs and soft undertones that allow the track to breathe, moving you gently to that place of contentment.
Pray J’s received support from DJ’s in the LA based label/ collective, Soulection, who have featured his early releases in playlists and mixes and is currently working on his debut EP, you can definitely expect blends of soulful vocals, funky basslines and analogue goodness.
