Legendary German producer Oliver Deutschamnn makes a welcome return to Soma after many years with the funked up Sonntags im Studio before Berlin based End Train delivers the stripped and moody Capacity as the EP ends with Orion’s jacked up and hypnotic Hollow Cause.

El sello marroquí SOTOR presenta una nueva página de su narrativa techno: el remix de Moteka para “Mental Space”, una reinterpretación que no se limita a remodelar el original, sino que lo desplaza hacia un terreno más rudo, seco y quirúrgico, fiel al ADN del productor francés.

Moteka aborda el tema desde el pulso interno del groove. Tal como describe en el press, cargó los stems melódicos del original en el sampler de Bitwig para retorcerlos hasta convertirlos en fragmentos tensos, casi industriales, y luego ensambló la estructura alrededor de un bajo analógico grabado con sus sintetizadores externos. El resultado es un remix que conserva la columna vertebral del track, pero le arranca el barniz espacial para dejar al descubierto una versión más carnal, directa y abrasiva, hecha para sistemas que no perdonan.

Donde el original de Kmyle & Ramon Tapia abría una grieta mental, Moteka la ensancha: ritmos áridos, texturas granuladas y un fraseo que avanza con un filo casi mecánico. Es techno sin nostalgia, sin suavizantes, sin intención de complacer; construido para clubes donde la tensión es un lenguaje propio.

Con este remix, SOTOR reafirma su apuesta: mostrar las múltiples geografías posibles del techno contemporáneo, desde la precisión del original hasta esta arista áspera y magnética firmada por Moteka.

One of the founding figures of Amsterdam's underground Techno culture Dimi Angelis has been shaping the scene in the late 90s, throwing warehouse raves living up to the underground standards. Until today his approach remains unchanged: uncompromising, opinionated, and never aimed at easy pleasing.
Drawing from decades of crate-digging and an encyclopedic knowledge of Techno's evolution, Dimi crafts sets that feel familiar a reveal unexpected depths on closer listening.
These tracks follow that same philosophy as they are straightforward and honest on the surface, but wrapped in something appropriately unexpected.
