SYNTHETIX SUNDAYS ULTIMATE DARK SYNTH MIX

I grew up watching horror movies from the 70s and 80s so it comes as  no surprise I quickly grew a liking for dark synth music. Heavily inspired by old horror movies especially of the giallo type.  Dark Synth pioneers such as Carpenter Brut and Perturbator paved the way in the early days for many to follow. It is a sub genre that has seen some popularity especially due to the cross over appeal from the metal community.  
Here is a collection of my favorite dark synth tracks.

SYNTHETIX SUNDAYS ULTIMATE HI-NRG ITALO DISCO MIXTAPE

I was fortunate to spend some of my formative years living in Europe during the early 80s and it greatly influenced my taste in music. Italo disco was at it's peak and was getting plenty of air time on the radio.
Here we are in 2024 and I feel so blessed that there is still so much quality italo being released.
Here is a show case of the very best modern day italo disco music.
2.5 hour live continuous mix featuring both vocal and instrumental tracks starting off HI-NRG with the tempo slowing down gradually towards the end.

This mix is dedicated to my good pal Dallas Dredske, the only person I know who loves Italo Disco more than me!

SYNTHETIX SUNDAYS ULTIMATE DREAMWAVE MIXTAPE 

This is a collection of a lot of my favourite songs I've been accumulating over the past 9 years.
The very best of Dreamwave, Synth Romance and ambient, emotionally fuelled 80s inspired tracks,
with the focus more on instrumentals with this mix.

Dreamwave is my favourite genre of 80s inspired synth music.
Delicately crafted with beautiful intricate melodies, so bittersweet, powerful and thought provoking. 
It's the genre closest to my heart (the type of music that is best at taking me back to the 80s) 
and what got me into the synthwave scene to start with.

Such artists as FM Attack, College and MPM/Multipac were early pioneers in this sound.
Let this mix take you on a journey back to the 80s. 
Your first day of school. Playing with your friends at the beach on those hot summer afternoons without a worry in the world.
Your first crush. Your first kiss.

Car chase scenes were a very prominent part of 70s and 80s movies so it comes 
as no suprise it spawned a whole subgenre of music.
A common misconception is that Outrun was inspired by the video game namesake
but in reality it has little to do with chiptune music.
Think car chase montages from such dark movies as the Wraith and Cobra instead.
Heavy basslines, glorious tom fills and powerful snares!
So buckle up, start your engines and get ready for the ride of your life!
