This is the first single from my forthcoming album Omura with Fracture, our take on Detroit electro. We built the backbone of the track using the classic SH-101 synthesiser, with drums coming from a heavily processed Pocket Operator ran through modular distortion. Planet Piano tells the story of DR. GABBA and friends as they travel to the distant planet, Planet Piano, in order to escape the clutches of evil Henry Kaizer.

When they arrive, the piano people are frightened by a recent incident and they as DR> GABBA for help.  Apparently, Lord Plasma of the Piano People has stolen everyone's pianos and has locked himself inside his palace.  The music can be herd throughout the whole planet and has forced everyone to an eternal life of dance.

Will DR. GABBA and friends be doomed to the same fate?

FF009 sees Bristol-based DJ and producer K-65 join the GAB family. 

Most well-known for his subby basslines and ability to cut breaks across multiple tempos, K-65 has more recently incorporated elements from the dark underground world of electro. His productions now fuse acid, wubs and 808s with whipping snares and rolling breaks. Aiming to make hard hitting tracks for the UK’s dancefloors, his productions strive to be high in energy and dark in flavour.

And unsurprisingly K-65 does not disappoint with “Enter.” Disguised vocals pair with malevolent acid lines to build to a truly cursed drop where K-65’s signature wubs meet an off-kilter percussive melody. This one will make you piss your pants.
