When a Canadian bassist (Richard Durocher) moved next door to a virtuoso saxophone player (Tom Watkins), the two musicians never dreamt of what wheels had been set in motion. 

Humble beginnings spawn a jam collective affectionately named 'Immigrant Jams'. As a number of years flew past, the jam collective began to coalesce and form into the preliminary workings of a band. A crucial moment came with the addition of a groove-based funk guitarist by the name of T-Bone (Anthony) Malone, who helped mould the 'Jam' sound into a tight unit with strong lines and hooks for days. 

The final piece of the puzzle came with the addition of Connor McLeod, a 21 year old drummer that completely revolutionised the Immigrant sound and catapult them into a band that was starting to catch some eyes, raise some pulses and move some bodies. 

Immigrant is well on its way to becoming the next big groove-rock band to come out of Brisbane. With their first album 'Live and in the Worx' released on August 14th, 2015.... this is a band you must see!
