This song is an empowering celebration of JOMO—the "Joy of Missing Out"—as a deliberate choice to embrace solitude, mindfulness, and personal fulfillment over the relentless pull of digital distractions, social pressures, and superficial connectivity. It serves as an antidote to FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), critiquing the overwhelming "noise" of screens, social media, and constant stimulation that leads to exhaustion and inauthenticity, while championing the liberating power of opting out to find deeper joy in the present moment.

This song is about the famished soul, the soul is tired of the same things. The soul that is suffering in secret, and trying to hold it together publicly. It is inspired by the story of Hagar found in Genesis 16. She was exiled from her family alone in the wilderness with her hope lost. It was then God showed up for her, and she said this is the God "who see's me." Just like Hagar I am wanting the listener to know that God see's you. And to embrace the grace that God has to offer.

My name is Dave D.R. I’m a multi-instrumentalist recording artist and performer originally from Ontario Canada. I released my debut EP on CD and 7” Vinyl in 2016 and on social media in 2020. I am currently writing and recording the first full length album. (Special thanks to Jobert Mello of SLEDGEHAMMER GRAPHIX for his amazing cover art as well as the new Immortalizer logo). 

When I was as kid I was profoundly inspired by Heavy Metal and Rock pioneers like Motorhead, Judas Priest, Saxon, Primal Fear, Iron Maiden, Michael Schenker, Dio, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Van Halen, Thin Lizzy, Megadeth, Metallica, Whitesnake, Deep Purple and KISS (to name only a few).  I began as a drummer when I was nine years old, then eventually taught myself to sing, play guitar, bass and keyboards. In 2020 I started working with legendary Metal singer Ralf Scheepers of Primal Fear to further develop my vocal abilities. I’d like to extend a very special thank you to Ralf for all his help!! 
I've always tried my best to create new and exciting music. When I started writing material for IMMORTALIZER I wanted to create something original but that still had a vintage feel to it. My aim is not to copy what's already been done but rather to contribute something fresh and entertaining. I hope you'll agree once you've heard the music. Don't forget to crank up the volume!
