Description: This is one of the three videos posted as a part of the 'Breathe' series I had put up on Instagram in the early months of 2020. I felt it pertinent to a time where we're struggling to breathe, it is an ode to sounds and people in my life that have given me strength.

Aabad and Charkha are two songs written, recorded, then rewritten and re-recorded over a few months. This process became quite ritualistic, while Aabad was the song being made at night right before sleep, Charkha was the song being written first thing in the morning; both in my head. Naturally the songs became a call and response to what was being said in the songs.

Aabad reflects unfettered hope for better days to come. Charkha responds to this hope and argues for unfettered perseverance to get to the better days almost like a horse with blinds on.

Afraid is about being honest with what you're feeling and grounding yourself to truly process what's happening. Acceptance of the future being uncertain is scary, well atleast for me it is. Hope you like this one take version of my song Afraid.

This week, we feature Salty Prawn aka Pranav Gohil, a Bombay based producer whose latest release is a single called "I Crushed Your Flower". The TripHop track is a melodic fusion of Drum n Bass laced with nostalgic Bollywood samples. The interaction of Indian vocals with electronic music has always been Salty Prawn's signature sound and this track showcases his musical aesthetic and wizardry with a simple beat that allows the vocals to be the core in the song progression.
