made my own samples in LMMS and Audacity and used a Drum Machine.  A lot of switches. The heavy generator parts are kind of annoying, especially the end but oh well.

Founder of Vanity Label,  The Mess, and one of the first Skullstep artists when he was in High School in the year 2000, it is a project recreated on July 12th of 2014 by Producer, Scotty Wilson, as a "second outlet". It soon started to sound more and more different, yet structured. Grown up in this largely  independent and free-form genre as early as the year 2000 and  having it influence him and his music, getting him to delve into the genre of DnB for the first time, Impasse Theory aims to be a broad alternative to the cookie cutter crap that is mainstream. He wanted to make his own samples, his own style, and use his own methodology and show off his talent as a producer. Impasse Theory is an artistic outlet to express himself through thought and design, and stays true to certain idioms all the same. Producing using various methods and adding ambient parts and instrumentals and samples, heavy on the distortion and not partial to a certain BPM, Impasse Theory takes a lot of music mixed live (or home made samples and sounds, along with Mixers). Speed alterations are a theme, but the music does tend to get less atmospheric, but tries to stay somewhat distorted. It intensifies through the track and is another avenue of musical exploration. Definitely not a purist, i-Theory creates "soothing chaos." From beginning to end it is antagonizing , as it is thought provoking, and rather abstract. A hobbyist pure and simple, this project is a brainchild that seeks to further utilize the alternative approach. Aside from Impasse Theory, other genres have been Minimal, IDM, Glitch, and Avant-garde Metal. Impasse Theory is on many streaming services worldwide and has chosen that since March 2015.
