Impello is more than just a music enthusiast—he’s a visionary in the electronic music world, known for his fearless devotion to techno, relentless passion for innovation, and the drive to elevate every beat. As a producer, DJ, and label founder, he’s shaping the future of the dance music scene with a sound that’s as bold as it is intricate.

Impello’s journey began at 15, when he bought his first set of turntables, diving into hardcore music before quickly finding his true rhythm in the harder techno styles that ignited Rotterdam’s scene in the late ‘90s. Over the years, he’s embraced a diverse spectrum of genres, from Oldschool to Minimal Techno, Techhouse to Electric. Yet, at every turn, he’s returned to techno—a genre that has become his pulse, his identity, his constant.

In 2003, Impello claimed first prize at the Corrects DJ Contest, a pivotal moment that led to his debut club performance opening for the renowned Lady Dana. From there, he became a resident DJ on DOTF Radio’s “BassNation,” showcasing the raw, unyielding energy of hard techno every month.

With an insatiable drive to push boundaries, Impello began producing his own tracks, sculpting a signature style defined by a warm, rolling sound—layered, sometimes funky, always rooted in the deeper side of techno. This unique approach drew the attention of the Identity Group, an elite collective of artists dedicated to bringing underground sounds to the forefront. Impello soon took to the stages of iconic venues like Rotterdam’s Toffler and ADE, where his captivating performances became crowd favorites.

In 2018, Impello launched Purple Desert Records, a label that embodies his vision and gives voice to his evolving sound. His music now reaches fans worldwide across digital platforms, and his passion as a producer, DJ, and label head fuels his constant creation. He’s been invited to the ADE demo pitches for three consecutive years, solidifying his reputation as a pioneer pushing techno into new, uncharted territories.

With an arsenal of ideas and an unbreakable connection to the dance floor, Impello continues to set new standards for the global techno community.

At the 2nd halve of 2018, Impello's started Purple Desert Records to release his tracks and can now be found on almost all digital platforms.
This, along with Impello's highly involved and passionate role as producer, Dj and founder, there are arsenal of idea's and plans for the future.
