Lisbon based label Sururu Records welcomes the boss To Ricciardi for some sun kissed and Latin inspired house sounds that ooze class and come with an Anna Almani and The Oddness remix.

To Ricciardi is a pioneer of the underground sound in Lisbon who has always led the scene from the front ever since the 90s. He has released a number of albums and projects under several aliases and always works with the most relevant labels. Here he makes his mark once more on his Sururu.

Opener Azazou has shimmering synths and sleek, rolling drums that are peppered with percussion and light up by some superbly treated string sounds. Add in some chatting tribal vocals and you have a sure fire summer anthem for open air dancing. The Oddness remix slows things down and has upstate dub vibes, while the strings remain and take on a more laid back and languid feel.

Last of all is Azazou (Anna Almani "2012" Remix) is sped up and harder hitting. The drums are funky and the stabs are more rugged while the vocals are dreamy, delicate affairs for zoned out sessions.

This is a standout new release from Sururu Records.

Ayan returns to Elif's rising Marginalia label with his Brownian Motion EP including a remix from EdOne!

Emerging talent Ayan steps up to Elif's ever more influential Marginalia label with the superb 'Brownian Motion' EP  which comes with a remix from EdOne. The new release follows Ayan's single 'Chimes' on Marginalia's first compilation earlier this year and he also looks forward to featuring on the second VA release in 2025.

Ayan is a new school star with credits already on the likes of Kinetic and Blindfold. He is known for exploring new artistic relays and serving up sonic stories that are emotional and innovative. He has had support from big names like Aera, Elif, Skala, Yubik and Baime and is inspired by everything from funk, rock, bass and soul. 

'Brownian Motion' is brilliantly warm and heavy with a textured bassline driving it along under warped synth sounds that grind throughout the mix. It's an electrifying cut that will flip the dance floor inside out. The fantastic 'Restrained Circuits' is an atmospheric, stripped back and percussive cut with wiry electronics and tense chords that keep you in suspense. Glassy textures and glitchy machine sounds give it a sense of unique futurism that really stands out.

Also on board is remixer EdOne, EdOne is a Spanish talent who has released on all of the scene's most recognised labels from Innervisions to Suara, Mood to Still vor Talent and Multinotes as well as his own label Surrealism. He has been leading from the front for the last decade plus and always brings great craft to his works while also DJing around Europe, including a performance at Marginalia's first label showcase.

EdOne's tracks have charted in the Top 10 on Beatport around 15 times, and he frequently receives support from big names such as Dixon, Ame, Adriatique, Maceo Plex, John Digweed, Oliver Koletzki, Nicole Moudaber, and others. His remix of 'Brownian Motion' is a punchy and melodic groove with beautiful pads rising up through the mix as the chattery percussion keeps the grove moving.

The debut Vinyl of the germafrican duo LADS, gets a nice twist in form of 3 remixes, coming from the two new debutants Baez and Urmet K, as well as a well formed house retouch of core NWS artist Varaz.

"Cedar" is being re-imagined a second time by another new estonian artist on NWS, Urmet K. Different to baez, he keeps the ground atmosphere true to the original, while also trying to build a more captivating and hypnotic groove, surrounding the beautiful vocals of Gary himself. Middle-eastern instruments and drums really sell the authenticity of the vocals and bring this remix into the dusty deserts.
