Next up in our mix series is Innersha, hailing from Yerevan, Armenia. As an initiator in the local raving scene and a co-founder of the dk.tsk collective, her artistic development has been significantly shaped by the communal music experience. Innersha is a relatively new face to the scene, with her debut EP just last October, on Polygonias label ‘QEONE’. In the short time she has already carved her sound, and with upcoming performances at the iconic Macadam and pe:rsona festival this summer. Innersha also contributed with a track on the freshly released '8 Years of Ute' CD, which dropped this week.

For this episode, Innersha shares a live recording from her set at the Omen Wapta Weekender at Garage Noord in Amsterdam in April. The mix is a raw, heads-down excursion into hypnotic territory, full of shifting patterns, deep pulses, and high pace. Capturing the energy of a packed room in motion, the set balances intensity with restraint, showcasing Innersha’s ability to hold tension and guide a narrative across the arc of a live performance.

Born and raised in Rome, Luigi Tozzi is undoubtedly one of the most prolific and outstanding talents of his generation to come out of Italy. Slip into any record store worth its salt, or clubs from Tbilisi to Lisbon and you’ll find traces of his work there; his signature sound has sold its share of records true, but also deeply influenced the work of many of his contemporaries. His expansive compositions intimately tied to the space they’re heard in, circling in perfect arcs below the water’s surface, where sunlight becomes scarce and a connection with sound paramount. Reformulating not only dub. techno and ambient, but a trove of memories diving off the coast of Sicily’s neighbour Salina (and with the help of analog digital tools, VSTs and controllers during live performances), Tozzi has developed a mastery for hypnotic rhythms like nothing you’ve heard before. His close working relationship with Swedish output Hypnus, as well as Outis and Non-Series have pushed his aquatic sound to it’s absolute limit, creating a world of poignant textures that have given his genre the gift of new horizons.
