This week we are back with yet another rollin set by Peruvian producer and selector Saav. As co-founder of the respected label Sendero, he is pushing the minimal boundaries to another level, focusing on deep and dark minimal. On top of that, the producer’s forward-thinking vision leads to multiple releases on labels like Capucine Records, Minimadelic Records, Merger and more. Make sure to keep an eye on this man. He’s got a bright future ahead of him.

In his Implicit Mind Cast, Saav illustrates his perfect taste of dark minimal, including his own productions and tracks from his label. Expect serious basslines, deep sounds, weird vocals and subtle grooves, all compressed in a 1-hour mix with smooth transitions. Enjoy this one!

Adelina originated from Romania, but is currently established in Copenhagen. For our next podcast, we invite deejay/producer Osvit based in Odessa, Ukraine. The artist has been in the underground scene for some time now, which brought him plenty of nice achievements. He has numerous releases on different labels, for example, his latest vinyl collab with Pheek just to name one. As curator of CULT.beat, he played alongside heavyweights Mihigh, Charlie and more. Enough said. 

Osvit brings us a selection of rollin minimal consisting of over 1-hour. Expect switching rhythms, dark basses and weird vocals. Every track has a certain flow, which fits perfectly to his own characteristic sound. Enjoy!

We are glad to announce that we finally have another female back on the label. Powerwoman Amelia serving this week’s podcast for us. She returns to the label after her wonderful contribution on IMP010. The London-based artist pushes the darker side of minimal throughout her music. It’s finally time for her to make her way through the underground scene, so keep an eye out on her pages.

Planetary Notions with Joe Rolét & Vlad Caia - 30th March 2019

This week we add another Dutch-talent to the Implimind roster named Nathan Paul. Last year, he graduated from the famous Dutch Herman Brood Academy, where he learned the aspects from the producing side. With his release on Roger Geressen’s dub techno label Irenic this year, the 24-year old artist made a good impression of his skills.  This was shown by the time in which the Various Artist vinyl release was out of stock in almost every online record shop. His track ‘Stellular’ on the VA EP, is carefully pushing the boundaries between minimal and dub techno.

The podcast strengthens his sound even further by projecting a dreamy set, with floating ambients, but still using a minimal groove. Nathan effortlessly transitions the mix with a nice tempo. We’re looking forward to seeing his future achievements, but first, have a listen to his version of the Implicit Mind Cast.

There were used: vinyl only, Technics  1210 mk II, Vestax PMC 06 Pro and Ortofon DJ mk I. Matpri has released dozens of quality works as part of vinyl and digital releases on labels such as Hoarder, Slowdymowdy, Heisenberg, Kina, Deep in You, Wellness, etc. His own label Prosaic music, which released the artist's first release in 2018, is also well-known.

This mix was recorded live in the south of France in Sanary-sur-mer for those who might know at Bard’O club, the spot is very intimate, it was the 4th time I was playing there and i really like to be free in that kind of small place to be able to play what i feel like at the right moment, and not have to worry about the crowd and whether they are dancing or not. This is what happens when you have a good crowd, being able to go from past to future, from classic to avant-garde gems.. for me this is how I like to play these days, moving across styles like this and not to be bored by a DJ who plays the same kind of music for hours… Hope you will enjoy this live mix.

James Reid is a British DJ, producer, and record label owner who has spent the last 9 years living and playing in Ibiza as a resident DJ. His career started in 1998 in his hometown of Harrogate, which then led him to work summer seasons in Ibiza from 2003, where he learned his craft as a resident DJ in some of the island’s leading music venues. 
 
James’ musical inspirations originate from the sound of the early 2000s in the US West Coast. This dubby percussive genre leads him to find the underground sounds of France and Romania, which now best represent his style and direction. In James’ sets, an infectious groove is always present with his stripped back minimal sound. 
 
Having lived in Ibiza full time since 2011, James had played in Space Ibiza, shared decks with Carl Cox, performed 3 consecutive years in Sydney at the Space Ibiza on Tour, and annual appearances at Australia’s premier electronic music brand S.A.S.H. 
 
As a music producer, he has released on labels including Zingiber Audio, Whostryo, Plus Plus, and Natural Rhythm. In 2018, he started his vinyl-only record label Sonet Music. Now, he is based in England and focusing full time on his music and his record label.
