This week we are back with yet another rollin set by Peruvian producer and selector Saav. As co-founder of the respected label Sendero, he is pushing the minimal boundaries to another level, focusing on deep and dark minimal. On top of that, the producer’s forward-thinking vision leads to multiple releases on labels like Capucine Records, Minimadelic Records, Merger and more. Make sure to keep an eye on this man. He’s got a bright future ahead of him.

In his Implicit Mind Cast, Saav illustrates his perfect taste of dark minimal, including his own productions and tracks from his label. Expect serious basslines, deep sounds, weird vocals and subtle grooves, all compressed in a 1-hour mix with smooth transitions. Enjoy this one!

From Rasnov City, Vladut, a young artist managed to climb his way quickly in the music industry in only two years. In the last months he succeeded to share the decks with a lot of known artists, like: Mihai Pol, Bryz, Herck, Lumieux, Anaid and a bunch of other smaller artists. 

His first connection with elctronic music was in 2010 and starting with 2019 he discovered romanian minimal. Since then he started step by step to spread his vibes through the music for his audience. His music is a splash of creativity with darkness. This genres is what defines his music style.

At the moment he is a resident dj at GoPreMusic and has been for 3 months.

Abstracted /13 - Vladut

For our 30th edition, we have a special own production mix by the talented Alex Ungureanu. We are happy to have him back after he served us an incredible 4-track EP in February (IMP004). He did not sit still this year and made a collaboration track with Hipp on the vinyl label Kontent. Besides he has released on Capucine Records and it will not be his last release of the year. Keep an eye out! 

Alex presents us with a 1-hour set filled with solely his own productions. It gives us a good projection of what he has been working on. He used unreleased as well as released bits, in order to make a smooth set. Expect deep and dark sounds, dreamy elements and rollin grooves, all made on the Alex Ungureanu way. Enjoy this masterpiece!

Implicit Mind Cast 030: Alex Ungureanu (Own Productions)

We are back with a new edition of the series mixed by Adelina. Finally, we are happy to welcome our first female artists to the roster. We have waited for the right one and here she is. Adelina originated from Romania, but is currently established in Copenhagen. The talented deejay and producer has already done some serious things, but it is only a fraction of what she has got in her. Keep an eye on her pages. 

This week Adelina brings us stripped-back material bottled up in an hour. Expect dark rollers, minimalistic drums with smooth transitions till the end marker. Enjoy the ride!

Implicit Mind Cast 032: Gabor

For our next podcast, we invite deejay/producer Osvit based in Odessa, Ukraine. The artist has been in the underground scene for some time now, which brought him plenty of nice achievements. He has numerous releases on different labels, for example, his latest vinyl collab with Pheek just to name one. As curator of CULT.beat, he played alongside heavyweights Mihigh, Charlie and more. Enough said. 

Osvit brings us a selection of rollin minimal consisting of over 1-hour. Expect switching rhythms, dark basses and weird vocals. Every track has a certain flow, which fits perfectly to his own characteristic sound. Enjoy!

Implicit Mind Cast 033: Osvit

Sorin Simon has always been attracted to music and it all started in his childhood home of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where he took piano lessons while still in school. The passion for music only grew as the years went by and as he started to go to different festivals, Sorin decided it was time for him to become a Dj.
So, in 2006, he got himself some musical equipment and started learning the tricks all by himself and inspired by a:rpia:r crew at that time.
That same year, he started playing music at some private parties for friends and small crowds. Slowly, he was learning the craft and by the time he moved in Jersey, in the Channel Islands in the UK, he was ready for the big stuff. Soon enough, he was resident at one of the top clubs in the city.
Time went by and in 2017 Sorin moved definitively to London where he started playing different underground events all around London. A year later, he signed to Vivus Records, an underground/independent and vinyl-only label from South Germany. Sorin has played at multiple festivals both in Romania and abroad such as Monegros Desert Festival, Sonar Off in Spain, Back To The Wild and Electric Castle in Romania.
As a producer, Sorin Simon’s dark and trippy soundscapes are reminiscent of the Romanian underground scene and his first track, O dimineață târzie, remains an unreleased jam, that has nonetheless over 150k views on YouTube. Since then, he released two EPs – Ecouri Paralele at Other Thoughts Records and the track Fragmente on the VA03 released by Vivus Records.
Sharing the decks with some well-known Dj’s like Janeret,Crihan,Cap,Mihigh, RQZ,Cosmjn,Illan Nicciani,Triptil,Bryz,Bexu,Little Hado,Prajescu,Maher Daniel just to name few of them.
Sorin aims to give the public the same lovely feeling he has when he encounters quality music and his mesmerizing and deep-dark minimal microhouse does just that. His goal was never to be a people pleaser, but to please the right people.

We are glad to announce that we finally have another female back on the label. Powerwoman Amelia serving this week’s podcast for us. She returns to the label after her wonderful contribution on IMP010. The London-based artist pushes the darker side of minimal throughout her music. It’s finally time for her to make her way through the underground scene, so keep an eye out on her pages. 

Amelia’s set is filled with dark influenced rollers illustrating her sound perfectly. Expect powerfull basslines, deep textures, and breaky beats all compressed in her 70 minutes selection. Enjoy!
