Diego Ruiz a.k.a DFRA, born in Bogota, currently living in Buenos Aires City. He was influenced since childhood by Hip Hop, Gospel and Disco.
Bigenning at 13, he already had his own residence in "La Sala" one of the most emblematic clubs in the Colombian Capital at 17 years old. At the age of 18 he moved to Buenos Aires City, where he perfected himself as a musician and producer.

Influenced by acoustic elements such as Piano, Rhodes, funky & disco bass, violins, orchestral instruments, winds and classic drums like Roland Tr 808, 909 and 707.

DFRA has edited on big record labels like Hudd Traxx, Plastik People, Onward Recordings, Pogo House and others.
It’s shared cabin with great international artists like Jef K, Natchbraker, Eddie Leader, Dan Shake and others. Diego is co-founder of the Motion cycle in Bogota, besides having his own cycle in Buenos Aires and being a resident of the prestigious Fullhouse cycle

Label Co-Founder 'Swales' offers up his first release on @rhythmdepartmentrecords with’ The House Vibe EP’. A feel good mixture of genuine house vibes guaranteed to make you move.

A1 - ‘I Can’t Let You Go’ kicks off the EP on a high with infectious vocals, brass stabs and jackin’ drums all tied together by a formidable piano arrangement. 

A2 - ‘The One’ takes a sleazy turn into a flawless late night house cut. Featuring gritty Rhodes stabs and hypnotising vocals it describes the story of a personal connection to the music on the dance floor.

B1 - ‘Feel The Energy’ on the flip side ups the tempo once again and delivers the ideal combination of house and garage. Expect lush instrument licks and rolling drums perfect for any occasion. 

B2 - ’Thinkin’ closes the EP. Last but most definitely not least, the track takes a decisively more mellow approach than the rest of the EP utilising chopped vocals, xylophone melodies and filtered chords. Perfect to tide you over until sunrise.
