Sharhu Sunnah of Imamul Al-Barbahari [Lesson 1]

Explained by Sheikh Zotha Mthimkhulu a graduate from the Faculty of Dawah and Theology conferred upon him by The Islamic University of Madinah Munawwarah.

Imaam Al-Barbahari, ramimahullah was a formidable and imposing imaam of the 4th century Hijri who spoke out with the truth and called to the sunnah and to the following of narrations. He also had renown and the respect of the ruler. In his gatherings, various circles for the study of hadeeth, the narrations and fiqh were held. These were attended by many of the scholars of hadeeth and fiqh. The scholar, Abu 'Abdillaah said: "if you see a person of Baghdaad loving Abul-Hassan Ibn Bashshaar and Abu Muhammad Al-Barbahaari, then know that he is a person of the sunnah".

These audios were recorded from the Sunday Kasi Dars which were classes taking place in the Atteridgeville Masjid in Pretoria-West every Sunday focusing on Aqeedah, Fiqh, Hadith and Sirah from various books of Islam that teaches these specific sciences the likes of Sharhu Sunnah of Imaamul Barbahari, Umdatul Fiqh of Ibn Qudaamah Al-Maqdisi (a traditional fiqh manual based on the school of thought of Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal), 40 Hadith of Imaam Nawawi explained by Sheikhul Al-Uthaimin rahmatullahi Alaihi, Siyar A’alam Nubalaa’ of Imaam Dhahabi rahimahu Allah , Durusul Muhimma Li Ammatul Ummah of Sheikh Bin Baz rahmatullahi Alaihi, Usul Thalaatha of Muhammad Ibn AbdulWahhab.



We hope and ask from Allah that He bless our brothers and sisters with this small effort and help make these classes a benefit to them and a source of reference and a store of provision for their knowledge of Deen & we ask Allah to forgive us all for any mistakes found in the audios. Every human effort is always associated with faults and errors thus we mask Allah the All-knowing to increase us in knowledge and guide us to His mercy and Barakah Allahumma Ameen.
