The latest offering from Breaka’s self-release project comes in the form of an atmospheric and rolling jungle/juke track. ‘Solaria’ is a fictional planet, dreamt up by Isaac Asimov for his book ‘The Naked Sun’. The inhabitants avoid physical contact, and project themselves as holograms to live an intricate social life.

Banoffee Pies Records 19th release in the Original Series lands with a very special solo EP entitled "Static" from Melbourne based Producer/DJ, Pugilist. Alex has been making incredible selections of bass infused, UK and Dub tinged music for many years. A fitting welcome on BPR as the label hits it's 8 year anniversary since its inception in 2014. The platform continues to evolve with an ever growing number of releases representing different sounds across its sublabels and many blossoming side projects alongside.

To honour the frequent mood changes and feelings of relative isolation experienced in the last 2 years, the A side aims to reconnect those lost moments with "Déjà Vu" & "Future Retro" - both tracks channelling a UK centric sound for the dancefloor and a further proof of the depth and quality found across Pugilist's back catalogue. The B side flaunts a completely parallelled sound palette with "Static", a down tempo dubby track partnered by the beautifully stylish "Sky Blue". A combination of anthems and cloud hopping ballads for the record collectors. Much love, BPR. X

Following drops for Sneaker Social Club, Domino and Alexander Nut’s Ho_Tep label,
London-based producer Throwing Snow makes his debut on Local Action with an
ice cold three-track EP.

Opening track ‘Pyre’ is the straightest thing here, with vocals from Augustus Ghost
(Throwing Snow’s collaborator in Snow Ghosts, who’re in the process of recording an
album for Black Acre - home of Hyetal, Blue Daisy and more) riding bitter hi-hats and a
heavyweight bassline, while ‘Equuleus’ (also featuring Augustus) takes things into lo-fi pop
territory, with a swelling synth climax kept together by tight drum rolls.

The stand-out ‘Too Polite’ is the title track for a reason though - it’s torn-out jungle driven
by a jagged Reese bassline and rolling toms. Each track on this EP is totally different in
terms of style, tempo and clarity, but it’s all brought together by a bitter, icy feel.

As Local Action’s last release of 2011, the first run of vinyl copies will come packaged with
a CD-R label compilation, featuring 100% unreleased material from T. Williams, Contakt,
Laurel Halo, Throwing Snow, Damu, Jacques Greene and more.
