Through the submerged landscape of spectral drones and glitched out abstractions expands a space where shapes and sounds become animate. Opaque rhythms gather in the distance, meandering their way upwards through the soil. Touching on the primal instincts that are often times buried within, which can be sensed if one dares to raise the veil. When the earth opens up the carefully selected sonic fragments unite in a forceful landslide, guiding the listener through an ancient landscape with the great treasure of catharsis at the peak of its mountain.

Honoured to have him as the first guest of our mix series, we encourage you to pay attention to this expertly composed selection, as this won’t be the last time hearing the echoes of Nawaz.

Championing a dancefloor sound as ebulliently driving as it invites us to dip our toes into further hazy sonic grounds, Dutch producer, Rhiza Semar founder and Eerste Communie resident Hitam swings the pendulum betwixt racing 909-fuelled horsepower and more subdued, fearsome climates.

By combining organic and artificial sound sources with ancient and modern approaches to patterns and structure, he sees his productions as a means to reconnect the past and present; guiding the listener through aural fields that are both familiar and unknown.
As ever clinical in his approach and deadly in his execution, Hitam has us tripping out to relentless tech rage and hypnotic sound design laced into one smoldering hodgepodge of whelming, non-stop gusty sonics.

The dynamic and ethereal characteristics of his sound invoke a state of contemplation and receptiveness, by means of which one is invited to form a deeper connection within and between. Mind and body; self and other.

Some months ago we had a pretty good time dancing to a pretty good live set, played by Berlin based artist Ben Reymann (@ben-reymann) at a party hosted by our friends from Lowpass (@lowpass-289568637). Hence we are delighted to release the recording as our 29th podcast. MPVLSIV is the multi-textured techno project of Melina, based in Athens, Greece. Emerging from introspective quarantine explorations, the project is deeply influenced by the psychedelic layers of reality. Drawing on both physical and mental states as creative fuel, IMPVLSIV channels blissful, primal energy to the dancefloor through tribal, raw, and deep elements.

Melina has performed at venues such as Tresor Berlin, Astron, Vondelbunker (Amsterdam), Six Dogs, Temple Athens, The Host SKG, Romantso, and B-Side. In 2023, she debuted with a track on The Pact VA, alongside Crystal Geometry, DΛS, and Bestial Mouths. That same year marked the release of her first EP, ATASTHALIES, on Public Sex Regime (Amsterdam), followed in 2025 by her second EP, Nothing Is Everything, With a Twist.

Beyond production, Melina is also a Cannibal Radio producer and hosts her own weekly DJ night every Wednesday at B-Side, cultivating "Street Rituals".
