Undoubtedly the darlings of electro-pop, Satin Jackets finally unveil their debut artist album. ‘Panorama Pacifico’ features a string of cameos from vocalists familiar and exotic, jetting in from LA, Berlin, London, Belgium and Australia.

Scaling the heights of the Hype machine from their first release to the latest, and clocking up over ten million plays on spotify, Satin Jackets' original brand of diva funk and smooth disco has whetted the tastebuds of the likes of Majestic Casual and i-D mag who said the duo’s “super sexy, infectious house music is filled with the vibe of summertime.” 

German music producer Tim Bernhardt and lead performer Den Ishu are Satin Jackets. Their eponymous live show has relentlessly toured the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe, opening their fluid pop appeal and accessible four-to-the-floor groove up to the world at large. Their album ‘Panorama Pacifico’ is set for release on their home label, Eskimo Recordings. The Belgian imprint has been a purveyor of disco, house and everything in between for over fifteen years.

Spellbinding Russian duo Modd are back with their 'Swallow’s Nest' EP, their latest extended play since 2018’s ‘Mesmerize Me’. Imbued with their characteristic laidback sound, the ‘Swallow’s Nest’ EP is beautifully melancholic. Using forest samples and a Zimmer-like chord progression, first up is title track ’Swallow’s Nest’. Mind Against are back on Afterlife with two emotive, dancefloor masterpieces. ‘Walking Away’, featuring the deeply-affecting vocals of Port St. Willow, centers around uplifting harmonic elements and a resonant drum pattern. It strikes that special balance of light and dark which makes Mind Against’s tracks uniquely cathartic. ‘Bloom’ is more a melancholy, downtempo interpretation of their vision. The percussion is restrained and sits deep below atmospheric pads and piano chords, eventually arriving at a gradual and subtle peak. For the better half of a year since its creation, Desert Hearts Black has served as an American outpost for envelope-pushing melodic house and techno. The imprint continues this tradition with a brand new compilation series, ‘Gateways.’ Standing at 15 tracks, the first-ever Desert Hearts Black multi-artist venture features contributions from GNTN, Enamour, DJ AroZe, and many more.

Founders Marbs and Evan Casey have invited some friends from around the globe to participate in the launch of ‘Gateways.’ Stil Vor Talent alums GNTN make their label debut with Ornaments, while BOHO enters with a Rachel Raw-assisted “Vacant”—both serving as the record’s German representation. Tel Aviv talent DJ AroZe, who’s appeared on top imprints like Steyoyoke and Plattenbank, contributes two tracks in the forms of “My Shadow” and “Tern Haven.” Pongo, NEUMA, and Emiliano Demarco round out the compilation’s global contingent. 

‘Gateways Vol 1.’ focuses heavily on bringing USA underground mavericks to light. Enamour, an Anjunadeep signee championed by Lane 8, lands on ‘Gateways’ with a futuristic ‘Life In The Machine.’ San Diego hometown heroes Memo Rex and Susio provide a churning “Fantastical,” while Mala Strana, Michael Hooker, Class-A Deviants, and Benthos & Mojulo show off innovation from Chicago to Reno. 

Since its launch, Desert Hearts Black has already proven itself as a strong underground force. The label’s debut EP, ‘Torus,’ became Beatport’s top Melodic House & Techno release upon release, and it has since gone on to bring titans like Tim Engelhardt, Thugfucker, Dance Spirit, and Lunar Plane into its ranks.

Vivrant's third release of the year follows up on the remix debuts from Hunter/Game and Locked Grove, and gives us a return from Jeremy Olander with melodic retro stomper 'Steps'. 

You don't know how much you miss something until it's no longer there, and never have we missed the inside of a rammed club as much as when we listen to 'Steps'. This uplifting, happy-go-lucky body of work with a distinct 80s retro vibes features Jeremy's trademark thumping energy and suspense that we know and love.

Albeit joyous in essence, the lead melody in 'Steps' still masterfully captures Jeremy's melancholic and omnipresent undertone, and adds a sour note to the otherwise saccharine lead, creating a perfectly balanced concoction for the spiring and summer. Coupled with an elaborate drum-pattern that blesses it with an infectious groove, 'Steps' will keep your ears intrigued and feet moving.
