'Literatura return to connected, this time collaborating with Spanish house hero DJ CHUS for ‘Dallallallum’, backed with a remix from DJEFF.

DJ CHUS is a veteran of the electronic dance scene and a pioneer of an organic tribal percussive “Iberican” sound. Here he takes a break from his Redolent imprint to collaborate with the enigmatic Literatura for this latest release on connected. For the remix, DJEFF brings his ‘Afropean’ sound to bear, further evidencing why he is so in demand.

The original of ‘Dallallallum’ features tight and punchy drums and percussion, a trademark of DJ CHUS, whilst a smokey, lounging bass line and stuttering dubby rises bring the Literatura influence to the fore. The track is enhanced by the searching vocal punctuations from featured artist Gedion and the whole production has an intense atmosphere that wraps itself around the groove.

Angola’s DJEFF takes on remix duties, delivering a hypnotic revision built on a galloping rhythm and pulsing offbeat bassline. Subtle use of the original vocal and strings give this a heads down and heady feel that is truly captivating.
