In September 2015, Toby Fox released his charming retro-inspired RPG called Undertale, telling the story of a human child who climbed Mount Ebott, a mountain that no climber has ever returned from alive. Upon stumbling into a pit within the summit, the child then finds themselves in an underground world populated by monsters, banished from the surface after a war against humans eons past. How they return from the Underground alive is entirely up to you...

"Once Upon a Time" is the first song that greets the player upon opening the game as the introduction towards the title screen plays out. It's short, it's simple, and it perfectly sets the tone for the subterranean journey the human child is about to embark.

My piano arrangement took about two hours total to arrange by ear from scratch on my keyboard, and then record through Logic Pro X. The video itself (link below!) was put together in iMovie – compared to the tools I had available in Final Cut after using it for two semesters, it's... a bit of a downgrade. D:

I might revisit the Undertale soundtrack for another piano arrangement in the future, but maybe not while I'm still kinda rusty.
This was more of a personal demo done on the fly than anything else, but you can consider this as me slowly trying to get back into the swing of things.

That being said, after three years of zero activity on this channel, I'm grateful that you all stuck around nonetheless. ;u;/ Thank you all so much for your support!

"Live at Grillby's" is an official Undertale Jazz album, comprised of several jazz arrangements written by insaneintherainmusic. The album has been officially sanctioned by Toby Fox, Undertale's creator and composer. 

insaneintherainmusic is a Youtube cover artist who arranges and performs jazz covers of video game music. He has created high-quality jazz arrangements of video game music on his YouTube channel for several years, and is now uploading consistent weekly videos.

editing/taking voices out for the sake of playability always kind of sucks, but can be necessary

this one is surprisingly fun to play, I could probably do a version that wasn’t so constrained to the original’s rhythm, maybe flesh out the chords some more so they don’t sound strange in spots, I think I got a few notes wrong in that middle bit too, oh well
