The fourth instalment of MB Productions sees Mikey B call up Cajama for collaboration on the single 'I Want Your Love'. A joint love for UK Bass Music and a shared skill in sound design brings the two producers together for a single that's already causing a stir in the bass scene.

Both Mikey B and Cajama continue upping their game, bringing some of the sharpest production skills Bass Music has to offer. 'I Want Your Love' not only shows how original these two producers are, but makes a clear statement that these boys are here to push boundaries.

The song's introduction is layered with synths, strings and vocal cuts that come together to form a build up typical of both producers' unique brands. Once the the drums drop out the listener is lured into a feeling of anticipation, as the melodies are joined with atmospherics which lead to the arrival of a rugged and raw bassline that is certain to cause severe damage in any dance.

Keep your ears open for this one in a rave, it's an absolute beast!

Mikey B & Cajama - I Want Your Love [OUT NOW]

Over the course of 2018 there has been a major influx of new producers starting to make headway within a very crowded scene, some of them bringing a bag of original flavours to the table and therefore making a majorly positive impact on the scene. We were very pleased to see that Lijah is one such artist, consistently supplying the bass scene with potent bangers.

Our highlight of the EP is entitled ‘I Don’t Fuck With Love’ falls directly into that bracket, pushing together a collection of potent modern bass themes in perfect harmony with the catchy vocal riffs that lay shrouded skillfully within the mix. The breakdown is a goldmine, with diamond encrusted yet gritty synthesizers running wild over sharpened 4×4 explosions and unique drum sounds, pouncing forward across any mix.

The other two tracks are by no means weak links however, with ‘Equator’ bringing us some northern niche style heat from the jump and the more experimental expanse of ‘Tycoon’ bringing us some crunchy breaksy grooves. Overall as a project, this one can hold it’s head high as the YosH Pit imprint surges forward, quickly making  their mark on the scene with relative ease. Lijah has been setting pace for a while and this EP sets a very high standard of what we have to look forward to across 2019.

NLMT and Fallu make two perfect first time additions to the roster for this release delivering a classic bassline sound straight from the female vocal era reminiscent of the likes of Gemma Fox.

When hearing NLMT’s music its not hard to work out where his influences lay nor where he comes from. The Bradford born 23 year old has been producing 13 years and has been looking to emulate TS7’s incredible journey from bedroom producer in West Yorkshire to the worlds biggest stages, after all they did go to the same school. Consistent releases across CruCast in the last 24 months have seen him go straight into the mix of the ever growing list of the labels successful artists that are thriving right now, playing regularly at the likes of BassFest and Distortion - arguably two of the biggest events in the Bassline scene currently dominating the UKs club scene, as well as a Warehouse Project date for the labels biggest event of the year to boot.

Having established regular support from Holy Goof and Notion as well as CruCast’s figureheads such as Skepsis, Darkzy and TS7 himself, it lead him to play on Darkzy and TS7’s respective tours and it also landed him a spot on Jamie Duggan and DJ Q’s Pure Bassline Anthems compilation CD which dominated album charts around Europe. Going forward NLMT is looking to make the most authentic music possible across the UK Bass spectrum with a multitude of diverse releases to look forward to in 2020 starting with a debut 1Forty release ‘Time’.

Fallu is an alternative R&B artist, incorporating elements of neo-soul and funk into her unique tones. After being told she was ‘too Northern’ for London drama school, Karla Farrar began her new endeavour as ‘Fallu’ in Manchester, emerging onto the local scene with her debut single ‘Eventually’ in May 2019. Since then she has performed at multiple events around the city, including her successful headline show at The Castle Hotel. In 2020, she releases her second single ‘Conversation’ revealing a raw, personal edge that is often hidden by her colourful, energetic exterior that is seen at her live shows. ‘Time’ sees 1Forty unearth another hidden gem in Fallu as this, her first venture into the underground sounds like she’s been here for years.
