How many of those stars contain systems of planets filled with organic life yet unseen to your people? Thoughts like this enter your mind almost as fast as they leave them, as you regain your focus. You aren’t here to explore space leisurely; you are here to save everyone you know and love.

Act IV: Reflection 

Abyss 

	Your ship is barely capable of space travel. You check your navigation systems for any planet nearby that you could land and make enough repairs to return home. There are none. You frantically scramble around your ship looking for anything you can use to repair the engine. You tear apart the anti-gravity, the body of the droid, everything you can find. It’s no use, the engines are beyond repair. This is how the journey ends.

Embrace

	In your final moments you become one with the cosmos. You look out to the void, and you aren’t filled with emptiness. Inside your ship is where the emptiness is, but out there is everything. All of the known and unknown universe lies ahead. As you take your final breath, you calmly smile and drift to sleep, thinking of your family and home.

Planetary Evacuation 

	You are spotted by some of the species. It seems that whatever hostilities they had are not only between each other, as you are clearly not welcome here. You make a mad dash to your ship, your pursuers in chase. Boarding your ship, you scramble to activate the launch sequence. As your ship takes off you hear their primitive weapons glancing off the hull of your ship. Fortunately, they aren’t capable of damaging it, or so you think. Something strikes one of your engines, and you are forced to limp out of their atmosphere and back into the deep reaches of space.

Cosmic Odyssey 

	Days pass. Your life support is running out and soon you will become another lifeless ship floating among the void. Your mission has failed, and your home may be doomed because of it. You think about your family, your friends, all of those that you will never return to. You will never see your planet again.
