// Scum of the Land
Leaving no stones unturned, the song is about the true scum of society. They are ones at the top, the powers that be, those who “prey on the weak and powerless” and “leach upon the fat of the land, in the name of profit and power”. As the saying goes, “The honest man is defeated, and the scum always rises to the top”.
 
The track concludes the album in a dystopian near-future where “earth is nothing but a barren desert of empty fields and famished men”. To the beat of the marching band, onwards humanity goes, treading steadily towards the end…”

// The Album
'Trust No Leaders' is a record that weaves a voyage through heavy metal history — from its roots in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal up until present day, fusing heavy metal with their signature ‘poetry performance’. Set against orchestral and cinematic soundscapes, the record also pays tribute to non-Western musical traditions, including Native American and South American folk music, Vedic chants, and Indo-Persian classical music. The lyrics bring together elements from modern theater, classical Persian poetry, to Jungian Psychology and theology. 

Commenting on the motivation behind Trust No Leaders, 
TCOMAS: "Our inspiration extends beyond musical genres and the confines of discipline.The confluence of influences in our album extend throughout time and across cultures. In retrospect, this really captures our ethos: Look back into the past for insight, and look into the future with foresight. And in doing so, we created something new of our own."

Landing about 15 months after their debut album Full Spectrum, the duo’s sophomore LP expresses a more aggressive side to the band and was recorded last summer at TCOMAS’ studio in Camden Town, London.   

Discussing the new album’s motivation, TCOMAS:
"The current crisis and the events of our time have made it necessary for us to analyse, investigate, and expose the issues in urgent need of systemic change by looking inwards into the human condition. We want the album to be a beacon of hope, for making a future that prioritises people and the environment."

Hailed as ‘pioneers of a new form of expression’ through the performance of poetry in music, The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS) are a UK-based duo comprising Daphne Ang (Singapore) and Andrea Papi (Italy), who came together in London in early 2020 to record their debut album, Full Spectrum, released on 26 Feb 2021. Breaking new ground in the way they combine progressive music, poetry, and vision, TCOMAS fills a gap in music by bringing literature, theatre, and history, fusing rock and metal, with poetry performance. TCAT is an artist from Gold Coast Australia. Developing his skill in production and writing began in 2015 and after a few copyright free releases, remixes and a debut EP “Tranquility”  TCAT found himself immersed in the underground EDM scene with his tracks gaining popularity amongst peers and being used in a lot of video edits which go well into the millions with views. 

TCAT took his artistry to another level with his Album “Power of a Catalyst” with the main single “Shoot the Lights Out” gaining popularity on different platforms and even being remixed by the legendary Nightcore.

2nd Album TCAT released “Out The Bag” showed his true talent collaborating with incredibly talent like Okafuwa, Penny Bee & Dez Busta. Multiple tracks from this Album including “Undone”, “So Through” & “Small Chance” all having amazing responses for an independent album and furthering TCAT’s audience.

2023 TCAT dropped a slew of singles including “SOMETIMES” & “SHALLOW” which both feature famous US Rappers Krizz Kaliko & Futuristic. 
With TCAT dropping consistent tracks and collaborating with incredible talent, it will be interesting to hear what’s next from the artist.
