Beneath all of the enormously different styles of modern \m/etal music, lie certain fundamentals
of the musical language that are exactly the same no matter what kind of music we venture into.
I had realized that the nature of rhythmic structures, begins with observation of the world and ourselves as
a part of it. It then became obvious that rhythm plays a vital part in the world —in fact, our
lives are totally governed by it.

When we look at ourself, we can see these structures and fragments in abundance — in the beating of our hearts, the
inhalation and exhalation of breath, the rhythmic action of peristalsis, the process of walking.
(I suggest one must listen to 'Tool' for understanding,'the concept of walking')
So rhythmic structures are, in fact, everywhere, both within and without.

So it is no coincidence to discover that the rhythms of music tend to take their cue from
such natural rhythms. Regardless of whether the music has a percussion track;
an ability to listen to and understand the music heard often, depends upon an ability to pick up and follow this beat. 
Putting it simply, "Observing an imperfect structure in a self converted perfect rhythmic manner, is the key".
