Cold Turkey

Nearly two years ago I lost my dear wife Carol to cancer. The grief will always be there but keeps changing, as does the way you deal with such loss as you try to live your life. I should write a book about it all but words come easier in poetry and lyrics. It's very hard too for people who love you now, here on the same plane. So the song tries to explore a little of how you must try, but how hard it can be, for yourself and your loved ones. With inspiration from the legendary JJ Cale and a special thanks to friends like Stephen White who always keep me in mind. It's mutual.

Crossroads

Endless war, cost of living crisis, mediocre politicians..meanwhile there's an existential eco threat to the plant. Thank goodness for bands like Midnight Oil... A bit of a rant
