Papiermaan is the Afrikaans adaption from the nostalgic jazz standard "It's only a papermoon" as sung by Nat King Cole and many back in the day  - greats.

Afrikaans is a beautiful language, with strong German and Dutch influences.

"Sou jy" is  Singer/Songwriter Inè Reynierse's first original single in Afrikaans.
This song celebrates the essence of many nostalgic Afrikaans folk songs.

02 SOU JY - Inè Reynierse 1

When Germany met France, they fell in LOVE and thus Inè Reynierse was born 
(on South African soil).  
Her parents welcomed, with this bundle of joy, a production that needed a place to happen - on two legs!
 
With Afrikaans as her mother tongue, she is currently working on a  new solo Afrikaans – contemporary  concept.  The heart of this project is to celebrate this universal expression of love lost and found when combining storytelling, folksongs and back in the day, familiar Jazz standards.  It is quite amazing to see how history impacted the way we experienced this phenomenon called “Love” continents apart, in the same outpour of wording even though in another language. 

No war, no depression, no corrupt system could ever succeed in stopping someone from singing about this beautiful hope. VIVA Love! { Lank leef die liefde! }
