Rising stars Pentatones, justly lauded for their distinctive blend of oblique pop, jazz-inflected electronica and languorous torch songs, receive the full Steve Bug treatment on Poker Flat's latest transmission: a meeting of minds that produces an utterly seductive dancefloor anthem. The original version of 'Karma Game' appears on the Pentatones album "Ouroboros" which will be released early 2015.

Distilling the original's haunting noir pop into a deep techno groove, Bug suspends tinkling chimes and tuned woodblocks around a gritty bass stab. A choir of siren voices follow, hauntingly layered as the tension builds and the riff tightens its grip on synapse and sinew alike. But all this is merely a prelude to the introduction of Delhia de France's vocals: a heartstring-pulling foil to Bug's intense repetitions, creating a heady blend that is deeply involving and instantly memorable.

An instrumental version gives harder-leaning DJs the chance to focus on the hypnotic riff and crisp, percussive touches that comprise the trademark Steve Bug sound, topping off a rich and unforgettable package.

On &#8220;Kollab&#8221; the rhythm section grinds away effortlessly as we we are treated to a futuristic vibe, thanks to the manic arpeggios which dominate the affair. &#8220;Road System&#8221; sounds a bit more stripped-down because of its straightforward groove, however the arpeggiated synths are here once again and snare edits keep the suspense levels high at all times.

Every Little Piece feat. Caitlin Devlin is the first single lifted from Thomas Schumacher's forthcoming long player Stand Up. The two artists already worked together in the past ("Elektrochemie" with Stephan Bodzin) releasing classic singles like Pleasure Seeker or Mucky Star on Berlin's Get Physical Music. They still share their passion for melancholic electronic dance music. 

Thomas was more than happy to be able to get some of his most respected fellow producers & artists to do the remixes: Simian Mobile Disco; Hot Since 82 and Joris Delacroix. The man himself added the  club mix to the remix package. 
The single will be released on Thomas' own imprint Electric Ballroom on March 8th 2013.
