This song represents the pinnacle of my lyric writing -- I use this as a standard of poetry.  Sorry to toot my own nipples but I do enough self-deprecation to make up for that.  I've always been very proud of this and a couple of others writ around this time.  Rich wrote the music and it would probably be better served as a standalone without lyrics.  This is where the problem with this song lies.  We both wrote very wonderful things but forced them together and they come off sounding very disinterested and lazy.  circa 1993 or so.

Since I'm unable to do anything new at the moment, I thought I'd upload a few older tracks. This is probably from '94-'95 or so. It was done in one afternoon by me in basically one take per sound if I recall. I'd never attempted anything like this before but I'm glad I did -- especially vocally. Not to pat my own back, but listening to it now gives me new faith in myself. I have no idea how some of it was done. I think most of it is sampler and the middle section with lyrics is introduced by D50. The vocals are intentionally the way they are for better or worse.

This is one that I'll be mixing properly in the future.

In This Land of Rain is Tony Reichstadt.  It used to be Tony Reichstadt and Rich Howard with the brief addition of Dwayne Erickson, but now there is only me.
This project has been ongoing since 1990 starting as synth-only, then progressing to sampler, guitar, anything we/I could find.  I write what I like and while there is no intended 'sound' anymore, I do have certain aesthetics that I filter everything through.
Most of the material is in progress but will be completed as I see fit and as I have the time.  
I'm using Soundcloud mainly for newer material, but I can upload/share older stuff if anyone's interested.
There will be CDs at some point.
