In Indigenous Alaskan folklore the story of Kaasteen depicts a Tlingit woman who sacrificed her life, holding back an encroaching glacier that was approaching her village in an effort to save her people. IN2ITION founder Mar 66 is a direct descendant of her tribe, the Chookaneidí, represented by the Eagle & Porpoise moieties. Mar internalizes & honors her fortitude with the Kaasteen EP.
The title track “Kaasteen” opens the EP in a thunderous frenzy- fast paced yet functional, a dangerous riff gets supported by crystal clear percussion and excited snare rolls. “Coral” is a heavy, glacial groover accented with gentle & conversational percussive elements. Closing this chapter is “Reasonable”, a heady & understated sci-fi tool designed for late night meandering.

Podcast 383 is from Norman Nodge, an artist who occupies a special place in Berlin techno with a sound that is forceful, dubby and hypnotic. These days a lawyer by trade, Nodge spent the 90s as a DJ and promoter before becoming a Berghain resident in 2005.

This is a very special set which Norman recorded only with vinyl, using two Technics turntables and a 2-channel-mixer. "No tricks, no gimmicks, no frills." It's 100% pure Norman Nodge and we loved it.

"Breathe Easy" is the debut release on Flamingo Park - the new Omnidisc sub-label focusing on stripped back dance floor music .... back to basics. @dannydaze steps up for the first release with his D33 alias. The title track leans on rich textures, expressive breaks, co-production from LA’s @pilo_zkulptor, and ethereal vocals from Aura T-09, while the rest of the EP hints at the wide range the label will showcase.

Welcome to the Injection Box 

This new mix series gives members of our extended Omnidisc family the platform to explore the intersections of club functionality and raw emotion.

Our first installment comes from @pilo_zkulptor, a Los Angeles-based producer and DJ known for his gritty, high-voltage sound that fuses electro, techno, and industrial influences. 

Last month, Pilo celebrated his debut release on Omnidisc via Flamingo Park in "Breathe Easy" with @dannydaze. 

With releases on Boysnoize Records, Motor Reflex, and Turbo, Pilo's music is as cerebral as it is physical — a product of years spent pushing dancefloor dynamics into new territory.

In this debut mix, he weaves through strains of body shaking electro and head down techno, showcasing his vast range of influences and intuitive command of tension and release.
