After the Beatport chart mainstay 'Mama Say', Dan Caster is back on Light my Fire with his next masterstroke, 'Lead Me Home', a sure fire bomb for the late summer and beyond. Here, crisp claps shatter through dusty synths, while dark piano keys accentuate a forceful bass line and heavy kick. Eventually guitar licks introduce a country vocal that drops into a killer groove. Welcome to the Wild West!  Sascha Braemer's 'Dirt Mix' then pushes a wholesome, acidic bass bed forward with razor-sharp hi-hats and peaks in euphoric piano stabs. 'Go Down', a collaboration with Björn Störig, sees the pair go ghetto aided by an in-your-face chant. This is heavy-duty dance floor material that will make you sweat. Lastly, Steve Bone puts an emphasis on grooving percussion and a good dose of bounce on his remix. Smoking hot!

Be Svendsen lässt sich einfach nicht in eine Schublade stecken. Zumindest eins steht aber fest: Seine stilistische Freimütigkeit passt ganz wunderbar an die frische Luft!

Durchweg spaßorientiert betreibt der Däne hier seine einzigartige Klang-Jonglage. Auf minimalem Groove wirbelt er surreale Samples und Melodiefetzen herum, bis sich das Kaleidoskopmuster der Sounds schließlich mit jazziger Stimmigkeit um die swingende Stimme einer Sängerin legt: Let Them Not Weep! Mollono.Bass zaubert für seinen Remix noch mal eine Extraportion Schub aus dem Ärmel, wie so oft ist es die Summe vieler Details, die hier für ordentlich Druck sorgt. Der Titel Leone galoppiert mit wunderbarer Verwegenheit in die Klanglandschaft eines Spaghetti Western. Zwischen Club- und Saloon-Atmosphäre tobt hier eine draufgängerische Party. Damit nicht genug cineastisches Hitpotential: Be Svendsen’s Remix seines unvergesslichen Solo Para Mi entwickelt aus wagemutigen Gitarrenakkorden eine wilde Arpeggio-Hypnose.





It’s simply impossible to put a label on the sound of Be Svendsen. Well, at least one thing can be said: His stylistic open-mindedness is just perfect for open air scenarios!

Seriously fun loving – that’s the style in which the Danish producer performs his signature sound juggling. Based on a minimal groove he whirls around surreal tunes and melody samples until eventually a kaleidoscopic pattern shapes around the swinging voice of a female singer: Let Them Not Weep! Mollono.Bass has even a little more boost up his sleeve, once again it’s the combination of many small details that makes his remix pumping and kicking. The audacious beats of Leone gallop straight into the acoustic landscape of a Spaghetti Western where a wild party is taking off when the adventurous atmosphere of a saloon meets the urban energy of a club dance floor. There’s even more cinematic hit potential on this record: Be Svendsen’s remix of his epic title Solo Para Mi evolves from daring guitar chords into the endless rising of hypnotic arpeggios.

Not too long ago the Berlin based singer Fran released her impressively diverse solo-debut “Frantastic”. Now the wife of the successful DJ and producer Oliver Koletzki is back on Stil vor Talent with the “We Are Planets” EP, on which she presents two new self-produced tracks.
 
The title-track “We Are Planets” describes the fateful and inescapable pull between two lovers, who circle each other like planets bound by gravity on the one hand, while struggling for autonomy on the other, in order to not melt into and subsequently destroy one another. Fran’s vocals are carried by a bouncy beat and synths that remind of Daft Punk ca. “Human After All”. Danceable astrophysics! On “The Totalistic Heart”, Fran takes up the voice of a heart that sings to us about unconditional love and the highs and lows of a relationship. Here, romantic xylophone and glockenspiel sounds bedazzle us.
 
Oliver Koletzki, Fapples and Namito then take care of the dance-floor. While Oliver Koletzki crafts a bass-line driven pop-house framework on his “We Are Planets” remix, Fapples deliver a laidback deep house interpretation. Namito, on the other hand, focuses on dreamy synths and a solid dose of romance on his “Space Cookie Remix”.

Synapson feat. Victor Démé - Djon Maya Maï

Our tenth release comes courtesy of Boy Next Door, a well-known Berlin producer, who recently started work under this new alias and managed to score points with a remix for Edu Imbernon & Los Suruba and the track ‘Heart Cut’ on Stil vor Talent. Next to a soft spot for the low-end and a sweeping groove, Boy Next Door’s productions distinguish themselves through colourful synth work that is sometimes retro-, sometimes future-oriented. 

This is also the case on LMF010 ‘Feels like Heaven’. ‘Love You’ should appeal to the inner romantic: supported by a poppy deep house framework, an echoing vocal-loop glides spherically through the arrangement and slowly drives the dance floor into ecstasy without ever being obtrusive. ‘Feels like Heaven’ is more straightforward due to a driving kick and propelling claps. Meanwhile, a bright 80s synth melody takes the front seat and sheds some light into the dark of the club. Lastly, Boy Next Door reveals a previously unheard side as ‘Reality of Being’ artfully pairs a rave-y acid bass line with euphoric piano stabs. Heavenly!
