Berlin’s Hypersoft collective kick off their new label with a 15-track VA raising
funds for trans youth and a launch party at OHM.

The collective, run by Berlin and London-based DJs TPR and DJ TEETH, emerged onto the scene in 2022 and is known for balancing breakthrough and established artists from the new school of the progressive landscape with legends and innovators of the scene, a resident lineup that includes Cromby, Bambi and Bliss Inc. and guests ranging from Sunju Hargun and Spekki Webu to nd_baumecker and Jane Fitz.

Their first release as a label follows the same principle: Adam Pits, Angel D’lite,
Bliss Inc., Cromby, D. Tiffany & Dugong, DJ TEETH, Desire, Dylan Forbes, E-Talking, Eoin DJ, Frederik Tollund, Inner Zone, Kasper Marott, Lisene and Running Hot all contribute to a VA that represents the nexus point where multiple axes of the current club landscape converge. Futuristic neo-prog and razor-sharp tech house, heavy progressive rollers and massive dancefloor bombs, percussive acid workouts and lush, synth-driven HD prog, neo-trance vocal euphoria, feel-good house, dreamy breaks and UK rave nostalgia: It’s all here, colliding on a VA that explores the spaces inbetween and a vision of things to come.

100% of the profits from the VA and launch party go directly to Transgender
Europe and Mermaids, two organisations doing essential work supporting and
advocating for trans and non-binary youth in Europe and the UK.

Volition's 8th release is a special one, featuring none other than Volition's very own Frank Brady and Demack with their first full release as their new duo, CLOSE PROXIMITY.

Titled "Want U EP", this release includes four tracks — two originals and two remixes. The originals are deep, trance-infused progressive numbers that truly embody CLOSE PROXIMITY’s signature sound moving forward.

Volition is also thrilled to welcome two new artists to the label: Cybernet and Gearmaster (aka Abdul Ravea). They’ve each delivered top-tier remixes, adding unique and contrasting elements to the release.

This is just the beginning for CLOSE PROXIMITY — as they have plenty more in the pipeline, and Volition is beyond excited to finally share this.

Next up on Basement Beats is a heavyweight transmission from Paris-based producer and DJ Germain CLS. A member of the boundary-pushing HORS-SOL events crew and a regular on Rinse France, Germain has carved a name for himself with a signature sound that dives headfirst into the 90s-drenched worlds of progressive and trance.

Following the success of his 2024 debut EP The Tools and his recent ZEIT project — featuring a standout remix from none other than Bliss Inc — Germain CLS returns with BEAST. A high-octane trip through warped acid lines, breaks and relentless percussion. 

With previous work across multiple aliases (including as one half of the duo S7RENS), Germain CLS continues to deliver forward thinking club tools.
