Welcome to our 2nd edition of our codecast REC series.

For this one, we're gladly welcoming ABSIS.
He is Salva Coromina, a regular DJ on the Barcelona scene since the late 90s under the alias mouseDown/MouseUp, he was a resident DJ at The Loft and a regular at Sónar for many years, he has always been exploring the deeper side of music electronics going from ambient to techno. He currently publishes his productions on labels like Hivern Discs, Oslated, BAHN Records.

Mtwn - DNB.GE Podcast 17 (February 2012)

I was conceived to write a track in the ambient style for a long time. In the working process of noise modulations with the help of my Max MSP patches, I was fascinated by the resulting loop, and saw the picture in my mind of empty house, somewhere in the wasteland, where there are no people.

This house is connected to solar panels or something like that, it's autonomous. Long time ago there lived a man, who when leaving, forgot to turn off the loop on the sequencer. Humanity is already extinct, but the loop continues to sound.

Maybe it's from my dreams to have my own house, or the desire to leave something after me. I do not know exactly. So, such a track turned out.

The velvet framing of elements, that are extracted by the method of granular synthesis, was done on the legendary Solid State Logic 4048E/G console at the subgroups mixing step and mastering.

i produced this track with a wooden made kalimba which i get as a birthday present. 
i love this tiny instrument and had a lot of fun playing it so i decided to record every note 
and play some melodies.

I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access.  Don't be mad if I have not replied to your message in the past two years, that's because I never got them ; ) ... You can always reach me here though.

You can't see it because of the angle with which I took the shot, aiming down, but beyond those blocks is the sea.  To the left is the Mediterranean, to the right is the Atlantic Ocean.  No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.
