John Monkman (@JohnMonkman) returns to Anjunadeep after three years to contribute his euphoric and ethereal dancefloor cut ‘Magnolia' to the sixth installment of the label's 'Explorations' compilation series.

Since his career launched, John Monkman has graced industry leading labels like Kompakt, Get Physical, Last Night On Earth and Crosstown Rebels. Now with his return to Anjunadeep he showcases the unique style that's made him a force in dance music, by unveiling a deep and progressive track with haunting atmospherics in his signature style.

The 'Explorations 06' release, which also includes tracks by Xinobi, Yunus Güvenen, Ole Biege, Ceas and Westseven, is due out August 24.

As Brooklyn-based band Underground System gears up to release their highly-anticipated debut album 'What Are You' via Soul Clap Records, Mixmag unveils a new taste of what to expect in the form of a sexy dancefloor cut titled 'What's It Gonna Take'.

Comprised of Peter Matson on guitar and sampling, Domenica Fossati on lead vocals, flute and percussion, Yoshio Kobayashi on Drums, Jon Granoff on bass, Lollise Mbi on shekere and background vocals, Olatunji Tunji on congas, Morgan Wiley on synthesizers and keyboards, Underground System is described as "an ever-evolving convergence of musical and cultural influences." With such a diverse collection of artists, their music touches on a variety of styles including afrobeat, new wave, dance music and contemporary classical performance, proving this crew can explore any sonic landscape. This aspect is clearly displayed on their debut album, showcasing a unique approach not commonly found in today's industry.
