Das 2018 aus dem Wildunger Jan und dem Konstanzer Alex entstandene Kasseler Dj-Duo hat im Laufe der Jahre eine beachtliche Anzahl an Auftritten hingelegt. Sie spielten vor Größen wie Anna Reusch, Oliver Schories, Dominik Eulberg, Bebetta, Shdw & Obsucure Shape, Klangkünstler, Felix Kröcher, Dapayk, Spartaque uvm. und hatten die Ehre, auf dem Open Flair 2019 ihr Festival Debüt zum besten zu geben. Nach der Zwangspause 2020 bis 2022 bespielten die Jungs Clubs in Kassel, Krefeld, Freiburg und Gütersloh. Sie sicherten sich einen Labelvertrag bei Vorwärts Musik in Kassel und waren am 27.08. auf dem umsonst-und-draußen-Festival der Stoffwechsel-Crew in Konstanz zu sehen. Ihr erster Release 'Gravity' ist im Oktober 2022 über Vorwärts Musik erschienen.

The Dark

First issued on ROOM's Pangea compilation - a project designed to showcase Argentina's techno community - John Barsik's 'Tropics' remains a standout track. Working at a steady 130 BPM, Barsik builds the piece from a dry kick and understated hi-hats, then threads in rounded bass pulses and humid, bell-like synth tones. The arrangement grows patiently, adding percussive flickers and subtle reverb swells that hint at open-air nights as much as basement clubs.

The production is lean but assured: low frequencies stay firm while midrange textures breathe, giving the track both punch and space. There's no gimmickry; instead, Barsik relies on pacing and clarity to keep listeners engaged, dropping elements out for a short breakdown before the full rhythm locks back in. 'Tropics' isn't designed to shock but to sustain, offering DJs and home listeners alike a slice of Argentine techno that values craft, atmosphere, and a quietly propulsive groove.
