“Echo of Forever” is the opening track of Echoes Through the Seventh Dimension by Pick’s Hideaway Players. Inspired by Mike Pinder’s mystical style on The Balance, the song blends Appalachian Americana roots with psychedelic and symphonic rock.

The piece begins with an intense piano motif, setting a contemplative and storm-like tone, before layers of acoustic guitar, mandolin, and banjo emerge. As the narration unfolds — a parable of a stone revealing to a child that eternity lies within — the soundscape expands through sitar drones, reversed guitar swells, timpani, and choral harmonies.

This track is designed as a multi-dimensional listening experience: simple and meditative at first, but revealing deeper textures with each listen. For those on heightened states, the layered dynamics open into cosmic realms; for others, it remains a moving allegory grounded in folk tradition.

“Echo of Forever” stands as a tribute to Mike Pinder’s vision of rock as a vehicle for spiritual awakening, while grounding it in the Appalachian roots of Pick’s Hideaway Players.]
