One of our favourite days of the year at Refuge Worldwide is the Friday bank holiday in April, which, since last year, we have dubbed “B2B day”.

From 10 AM to 2 AM, we celebrated new friendships and musical collaborations through a whole day of all-new back-to-back radio shows. Breakfast show host Nikola started the day in partnership with Bézier, and from there we hosted a full day of joint musical adventure between the station's residents.

CATA is a Florida native and Brooklyn-based DJ and producer, whose sound incorporates elements of techno, psytrance, acid, electro, and hard groove. En sus más de 20 años de carrera musical, Alejandro Rodríguez aka "Kresy", ha publicado sus producciones de house music en varios sellos de renombre internacional como Hivern Discs, Freerange o Shall Not Fade y ha figurado en los playlist de grandes de la escena como Steve Bug, Four Tet, Nick Höppner, Catz 'n Dogz o Jennifer Cardini.

Como dj ha recorrido en varias ocasiones las salas y festivales más importantes de España (Sónar Barcelona, Bilbao BBK Live, Nitsa Club, Razzmataz, Goa, Café Berlín, Piknik, Brunch Electronik, Electrosplash etc.) y ha actuado en algunos clubs emblemáticos de Europa como Panorama Bar (Berlín), Corsica Studios (London) y el desaparecido Throw (Amsterdam). 

Es el propietario del sello Discomaths y utiliza otros pseudónimos para lanzar sus producciones como Bep Kororoti (Hivern Discs, Modern Obscure Music) y Crazy Paris (música de stock para Artlist).  

Recientemente acaba de publicarse su última referencia en vinilo (finales de año en digital) para el sello Shir Khan Presents Black Jukebox de Exploited.

Wärmefelder – Heat Fields

The concept of the social "heat field" comes from the performance artist Joseph Beuys. Beuys saw warmth as an energy that can penetrate matter, but is itself immaterial and therefore spiritual. It can circulate freely and is an energising element that enables change. We also find a special atmosphere in the resonance fields of a spa: approachable, human, empathetic, warm and at the same time it is also appropriate when listening to certain sounds in music.

In March 2024 Inannia created a musical selection for the @liquidsoundclub Bad Schandau and embarked on a musical search for these fields of warmth. Immerse yourself in an imaginary soundscape created by the medium of music. Enjoy!
