Matilde comes from the native Shipibo community of Canáan de Cachiyaw. They are a native tribe from the Pucallpa area, in the Yarina Cocha and Ucayali river regions of Peru. Matilda has beautiful and mysterious connections with the jungle. She has acquired her knowledge and traditions from her ancestors. She has also been doing a lifetime of plant dietas.
