Alright, so while I am proud of this track, it is... weird. For one, the Freedom leitmotif is in a major key, and Don't Forget is in a minor key, so... make a FoHaD equivalent but in a major key? Oh boy. Mentally drafting this one was a pain.
I tried to keep the structure, at least. In the original Field of Hopes and Dreams, the track either alternates between G minor and E minor, or changing keys rapidly but staying around Db minor. G, E, Db, going downwards. For this track, it alternates between F# major and G# major, or does the same thing that FoHaD does with D flat minor but with B major instead! F#, G#, B, going upwards!
I'm a music theory fanatic, so i'm sorry if that made NO sense, but I gotta tell someone, ya know?!?

Den instängda kvällen som aldrig tog slut.

Mars 1972. Vinterstormen drog in över Arvidsjaur och stängde av vägarna. I källaren under den nedlagda fotoaffären Aurora låg en liten klubb som bara de invigda kände till. Där, omgiven av cementväggar och en ensam glödlampa, samlades Nordic Soul Syndicate för ett improviserat set.

Ingen kunde gå hem. Snön hade lagt sig som en mur vid ytterdörren. Bandet spelade i timmar, publiken satt på lådor och högar av gamla tidningar. En Revox-bandspelare stod på en hylla och spelade in allt – ett dokument av instängd värme, rå energi och den märkliga euforin som bara uppstår när tiden stannar.

UPPTÄCKARBERÄTTELSE
Banden från Aurora Basement hittades bakom en stapel diabildsramar i ett förråd. Rullarna var märkta med tusch: “Aurora ’72 – Ingen paus”.

Vid första genomlyssningen hör man stormen vina utanför och ljudet av dörren som någon försöker öppna utan att lyckas. Sedan börjar musiken: tät, mörk och hypnotisk. Mellan låtarna pratar bandet knappt – det finns ingen anledning, de är lika fångade som publiken. Inspelningen är lika mycket en tidskapsel som en konsert.
