Back in the saddle after a long time! I'm now using my RD-800 as a midi controller - feels like the future (of 20 years ago).

Some improv around a simple progression. An image of two people falling into a quick but fleeting romance came to mind. Using my Roland RD-800 with a nice grand piano VST from Keyscape. Nifty program!

I've been listening to "Never Let Me Go", a beautiful love song, lately. Hearing it makes me think of my own happiness and I improvised over a piece of it.

Nice morning for some coffee and piano! Been improvising around these basic chords for "I Feel the Earth Move". Learning to control the left hand / bass a bit better and just generally playing around with some dynamics and modulation stuff.

Improv In A Minor 05 - 12 - 20

Flipping around in a fakebook and found chords for My Old Flame. Not familiar with that one, but I stole some chords in am attempt to make something that sounded like one of those old blues ballads. Fun experimenting with the rhythm and trying to come up with a voice on top!

Another tune from the fakebook! More left hand independence, but I got impatient when coming up with an approach and recorded sort of the last, fast version before I gave up haha. It's always the ones you play before you record that are the best!

I'm 29 and a few years into my love affair with music! I get together with some friends every once in a while and we just hang out and play whatever chords we get our hands on :). I hope one day to play for an audience! At home I tinker around with little ideas and post them so I don't forget. Thanks for listening! Feel free to follow. Recordings from before 03/15 are all using a Kawai ES100 digital piano and Yamaha MX61 synth. Then to 09/16 would be the Yamaha MoXF8. After is the Roland RD-800
