We are excited about this new release. Lerm the young hungarian talent who has already released on our label doing a remix to Cronus presents us his own work. "Eye Of The Beholder" is the name conceived for this Ep which also includes remixes of Abuk and Last Men On Earth. The track that gives name to the work is intense, powerful and elegant. A story with disturbing atmospheres and aggressive elements. Rarest Flower follows an epic path with a constant arpeggio that will help you to keep in mind this masterpiece. Argentinian Abuks remix of "Eye Of The Beholder" is a more eclectic and modern version playing with different synth and effect domains. The also argentinians LMOE created their original version of Rarest Flower and fused it with elements of old drum machines and acid synthesizers having a clear influence of music from previous years. A complete work with different points of view that will please the most demanding ears.

microCastle's second offering of 2023 welcomes Ivory back to the label for his third producer showcase. Based in Milan, Italian artist Daniel Tagliaferri aka Ivory has been at the cutting edge of electronic music for the better part of a decade. Comparable to the path of his contemporaries, Daniel has found a way to create a personal universe by exploring electronic sounds, and ultimately finding his own place in the trend-driven state of underground dance music. Fully formed within the creative confines of his Milan studio, Ivory's third microCastle project 'Persona', follows on from 2021's 'Light Through Water', a seven-track affair which continued Daniel's mission to create bold synthesizer symphonies from the tools of the club. As an evolution in his sound, the release was significantly more stripped-down and dancefloor-friendly than his label debut 'No Scale Can Resize You' yet continued to demonstrate and build on the Italian's penchant for sophisticated sound design and memorable musical themes. Moving forward, 2022 proved to be a monumental year for Ivory, with the release of his debut album 'Feelin' sitting as the highlight, a release which was preceded by the immaculate EP project 'Rain'. The year also saw the Milan resident gain further recognition as a DJ, as he continued to exhibit fresh programming along with thrilling pace and flow, in turn becoming an in-demand presence at major clubs and events throughout the world. Now, following a string of impressive remixes to begin 2023, Ivory makes a welcome return to microCastle with 'Persona'.

One of the TAU family’s prodigious talents, Upercent, returns for a four-track expedition into the creative expanse of his brilliant mind. Upercent’s unique sound, blending organic with synthetic and unorthodox effects, has captivated dance floors around the world. 
Unsurprisingly, his ability to weave stirring melody and emotive storylines into his productions has led to releases with Innervisions, Kompakt and Watergate, as well as several outings with TAU. With Etapa Plena, Upercent further solidifies his distinct sound...

The EP opens with ‘Tranqui Tronco’, a nifty roller driven by dense percussion. A repeated vocal motif appears as the intro guides the listener into the first breakdown. Upercent’s use of unusual sounds and effects demonstrate his unmistakable sonic fingerprint, as the cut increases in vibrancy. Another breakdown raises the temperature even higher and the track rolls out with the same contagious, driving rhythm.

‘Nuquelar’ follows, with a deep tribal rhythm oscillating at its core. As we dive head first into this cut, hefty drums and a range of urgent chimes and instrumental licks add depth. Warped vocals are also looped into the fold, creating a cacophony of odd sounds as Upercent carefully builds the tension with a huge breakdown. The energetic release brings us back down to Earth with the persistent rumble of booming drums taking the track to its conclusion.

The penultimate cut is ‘Tempesta’, another dark and dense composition. Upercent’s talent for keeping it simple yet engaging, and just that little bit different, is evident here from the very start. This cut’s dramatic narrative keeps you locked in, as the percussion especially plays out a captivating story. A moment of peaceful reflection is injected at the midpoint, before we’re immersed in sonic theatrics once more. Moody drums and solemn bass giving this one its gloomy atmosphere.

Finally, ‘Ruta’ closes the EP with its insistent energy. In typical Upercent style, this cut develops in a considered manner with layers of sound building steadily, cultivating a sinister atmosphere. The voice of a maniacal character enters the fray halfway through, accentuating the unsettling vibes. An ominous tone pervades throughout, leaving the listener fully immersed in the dark side as the EP comes to an end...

The Four Miles to Amsterdam # 03 compilation series is a showcase of the label’s sound dropping just in time for ADE. It invites the four label regulars to supply that melodically driven deep techno sound the imprint has crafted.

Fennec & Wolf engages with ‘Gati’, offering more assertive drum-work that packs punch and movement, whilst a disturbing siren steals the focus and mutates violently towards the breakdown.

German duo, Dopish, formed of Sebastian Fischer and Tim Claußnitzer, bring their twisted vision of melodious techno to the fore with ‘Chandra’. An infusion of shadowy drums and pulsating bass topped off with a progressive lead synth that darts wildly throughout the journey.

Bellville’s ‘Eclipse’ rolls with a low-riding bass rhythm and rough-edged drums that combine to form a dark atmosphere. Delicate fluctuations in the synth layers see the track emerge into the light, whilst the tense undertone eventually draws the track back down for the drop.

A brooding alliance between a deep bass-synth and minimal drums form the foundation of Fabio Montana’s track, ‘Blaze’. Another intensely progressive affair, Fabio layers a distant, soft stab and creates a whirring atmosphere before dissolving the sound into the breakdown, rising once again to an emotional drop.
