Zero Trash - Selectas [Incursion Recordings] [OTW Premiere]

As bass music grows and it's vast fields array of producers continues to multiply, from time to time we get to see a project that really puts a smile on our face. That is exactly happened when we stumbled across the multifaceted young masterpiece that goes by the name 'Incursion Recordings'.

The label itself is run between three cities, with Lincoln's TVU, Leeds City's Ryan Gallus and Liverpool's own Zero Trash & Lowkey. The team being from such a varied selection of locations must be a factor in the label's diversity, as they showcase a range of forward thinking D&B and futuristic bass recordings, perfect for any UK DJ to fill their plates with.

Today, we have the fantastic opportunity to help the Incursion crew continue to showcase what they are all about with this fantastic remix from Lijah, who gets super busy with a monumental fix up of 'Bujuu', the original of which comes to us from label honcho's Zero Trash and Lowkey.

Overall, this one is a fantastic rework, as Lijah rethinks the tune entirely, bringing an array of colourful, almost cartoon like synthesizers to the front of the mix, layered over super crunchy drum designs and a classic garage vocal sample circulating in the background. We couldn't be happier to have this one up exclusively on the 3000 Blog SoundCloud.

Zero Trash & Lowkey - Bujuu (Lijah Remix) [3000 Blog Premiere]

We are absolutely loving the expansion of bass music in recent times, with a wash of new labels really finding their feet, not only in the music they are releasing, but in their general content curation, their social media presence, their branding and timing. One label that is doing everything right from what we can see is Incursion recordings, a label that has been active for just over 14 months, held together by TVU, Ryan Gallus, Zero Trash & Lowkey.

Which such a big team involved from the start, it is often easy to get the ethos mixed and confused with so many different styles and vibes, however the balance between the different genres they house sits perfectly, those genres being bassline, dubstep and drum and bass. Today we are here to take a look at the third edition of their well received 'Invasion Sound' compilation series, a project which has previously played host to the likes of Brosif, Amon, Zero Trash and more.

As compilations go, this latest edition is a perfect slice of what the label represents, that being tasty, forward thinking underground dance music. We see appearances from the likes of Ryan Gallus, Carmeezy, TVU, Sweech, CassCity & Voila Voila, who all bring their uniquely explosive styles to the table, providing us with a fabulous concoction of styles and flavours.
