Jack Phillips Presents Ready for the Weekend #415

I was the Saturday night resident DJ in the METRO Saltcoats nightclub in Ayrshire (Scotland) back in 1998 until 2000. 
If you've never heard of the club, it was arguably Scotland's #1 club away back in the day - and in July of this year, after a long 25 years, I returned to the infamous venue to play a 4.5 hour OTC 'trance classics' set to celebrate the music that I used to play back then - and also celebrate my 30th year as a DJ at the same time!

Here is the recording from the night, big thanks to everyone that I saw on the night, it was a big one!  :)

I was thrilled to return to the legendary Arches in Glasgow after over 15 years! Being announced as the very special guest for such a monumental night alongside an incredible lineup of talents like Marco V, Sander van Doorn, Eddie Halliwell, Scot Project, and Yoji Biomehanika was both an honour and a privilege.

The night was unforgettable, with each DJ delivering stellar performances that kept the energy soaring. During my set, memories of the packed venue and the electric atmosphere of a joyful, good-spirited Scottish crowd came flooding back. The chants of HWFG! HWFG! HWFG! echoed the same passion I remember from all those years ago.

One thing is clear, the Arches remains my all-time favourite venue in Glasgow. Its unique history and unparalleled crowd make it a magical place. Words can’t describe just how great an experience it was, and I thoroughly enjoyed playing every minute of my epic 1-hour set, which I’ll let you all judge for yourselves. I can’t wait for the next opportunity to return and relive the magic!
