How do you better a classic? Some tracks are not meant to or cannot be bettered, it's widely accepted yet producers of all experiences still try. K90's seminal and timeless classic Red Snapper is quite simply one of those tracks that has gone on to become part of the very fabric of global clubland yet as a label, Dataless receives many 'Snapper' bootlegs every year, most of which unfortunately come up short to worthy an official release. But then, like a bolt out of the blue someone bucks the trend by managing to capture the essence of the much loved original by adding a modern twist of their own and it's as if the planets have aligned and a new star is born! Recent reports have been flooding social networking sites after the iconic Red Snapper lead riff was heard ringing out across the mammoth sound system at ASOT600 in Den Bosch, the Netherlands! The speed in which rumour travels around the world wide web can be remarkable and it wasn't long before news of this new pretender had been brought to the attention of K90 himself and before they knew it, producers - Allen & Envy had hit gold by bagging themselves a converted official release on K90's own Dataless Recordings imprint!

The feeling of nostalgia doesn't hit you much harder than when you listen to an old song that you used to have on repeat. Sounds of The Pacific has never been about playing all the new tracks, but to put together a well-thought out cohesive set from any era of electronic music.
