Live recording from my gig at Tabula Rasa(Hyderabad, INDIA)for the 9th Edition of Modular Travelling Club Night SACRED ALCHEMY curated by Qilla Records. I was playing before one of the pioneers of Hypnotic and deep techno sound Ness, who has been a massive inspiration to me as a producer/DJ. I took this opportunity to dig deeper into the realm of sounds that i've been playing. I hope you enjoy this mix as much as I enjoyed playing them.

We glide without gravity through the vastness of space, where time is bended and nothing exists but now and eternity. On this journey, led by our adept Hydrous, we pass through all kinds of sonic entities that can be found in the universe.

Hydrous is a producer and DJ based in Oslo, Norway. He works in the music industry as a sound engineer and musician and has several projects in different styles and expressions, ranging from ambient and psychedelic rock to psy-chill and techno.
In his project Hydrous, the focus and sound is on the hypnotic, psychedelic and atmospheric side of techno. He draws much of his inspiration from nature, especially the Norwegian landscape, and meditative states. These threads of inspiration run through his DJ sets and productions, which can mainly be found on Navigare Audio, where also his next EP will see the light of day in October 2023.

In his mix for our series, Hydrous opens up a sonic space that organically combines ambient, spherical structures with more hypnotic vibes. But no matter where he sends us aesthetically - every element, whether subtle or excessive, always has its distinct place. Elements that, in their constant repetition, invite you to follow them without any constraint into the realms of infinity.

Just make yourself comfortable, open your ears and join the flight into the deepest parts of our Galaxy.

Into The Abyss Special Mix | Fran Campos at Espacio Perpendicular 2024

After belonging to the Move and Skyzoo collectives in the mid-90s, in 2000 he became part of the team of residents of Le Club and the organization of the Observatori Festival. In 2010 he starts Black Label, a monthly party at Miniclub, where for 5 years he made known his more House side. After this, it is worth mentioning his residence in Jerusalem Club, Caravaca (Proper Club) and the organization and residence of the Taiga parties in Madrid, where he bet on contemporary techno. At the moment he is still interested in the most current musical currents of electronic music, from ambient to techno, through electro, halftime and D&B. Always betting on vinyl as a format and deep productions that keep the dub as a common denominator.

Into The Abyss Special Mix | Fran Campos at Espacio Perpendicular 2024

Planet D is an imaginary place, a dimension suspended between the real and the surreal, where electronic pulses intertwine with dreamlike atmospheres. It was a self-invitation to explore new sonic worlds, letting myself be carried away without a precise destination.

In my mind, a story began to take shape: a journey to a planet different from the one I am used to. The choice of artwork by Pianeti Sintetici perfectly captures where I found myself wandering.

I felt the need to distance myself from the sounds that have defined my path in recent years, opening the doors to a more instinctive process. No sonic planning, just a natural flow: immersing myself in the studio, letting inspiration guide me, and losing myself in the timeless dimension of creation.

Each track is a sonic universe that took shape as I explored it.
