Presenting ‘Lotus Island EP’ by Forest on Stasys, a record that seamlessly weaves through the tapestry of the deep techno landscape. We kick off with the title track, ‘Lotus Island,’ a hypnotic journey characterised by rolling percussion and menacing synths. Feral then adds his reconstruction, plunging the listener into a dark, swampy realm, reimagining the original with his unique signature sound.

Next up is ‘Torre De Alquimia,’ a spacious, haunting track that rolls through techno terrains with an enigmatic allure, evoking a sense of mystery and suspense throughout. Closing the EP is ‘Prism of Nature,’ a brighter, melodic workout that serves as a serene conclusion to this wonderfully deep record.

The sprawling canopy of the banyan tree, with its aerial roots reaching down to the earth, symbolizes the diverse landscape of my musical exploration within this mixtape. Much like the banyan's ability to thrive in various environments, from dense forests to urban landscapes, my mixtape traverses through a multitude of electronic music genres. From the deep, atmospheric beginnings reminiscent of the shaded undergrowth to the vibrant crescendos akin to sunlit clearings, the mixtape mirrors the adaptability and resilience of the banyan tree.

About COLA REN

COLA REN is a music producer and DJ based in Guangzhou, China. Her sound is inspired by her observations of humanity, introspection, and experiences traveling the globe. She excels in using sound to depict organic visuals and emotional colors, guiding listeners through rhythms originating from different roots of the world.
Her debut self-released EP 'Hailu', a fulsome ambient, Balearic, and downtempo brew with a gorgeous sense of melody and spirituality that offers a soothing escape, which has received early support from Lena Willikens, Vladimir Ivkovic, Salamanda, K-LONE, Al Wootton, Joe Delon, Mixmag Asia and more. She also made appearances on international radio stations such as NTS, HÖR, Kiosk Radio and Rinse FM.

Herbarium No 19 - COLA REN - Ficus Benghalensis

A jam that I have recorded a while ago. Exploring a slow tempo version of hypnotic techno genre here with a small taste of acid. Strong focus on the atmosphere and the peripheral elements. TD3 of course brings the Acid Bass line into the game and Blofeld is responsible for the Bell sound down the line.

Slow ambient techno this time. Atmospheres, textures and a lot of reverb and delay. The sequence comes from Blofeld while the bass from TD3. The rest is Ableton and Arturia V collection. I recommend to use headphones with this one since the low end doesn't translate properly in phone/laptop speakers.

Adhémar is a multi-disciplinary artist, establishing his universe through music and visual works.
Constantly in search of the luminous quality of sounds, in a world made of shadows and light, his music is closely linked to his plastic work. 
This obsession with shadows leads him to think and create spaces, atmospheres that focus on the lightness and poetry of light. The idea of "narrative potential of music", allows us to confront the psychological and philosophical journey with a particular relationship on what is alive and what surrounds us (whether it is the material, immaterial world, the fact that everything is constantly becoming). With a particular rigour for transitions, whether in his own production or in his DJ set, his universe is built little by little, with the passing of sound transformations and the light and poetic transportation of it all.

Crescent London is a new deep & hypnotic techno label centred on ambient textures and dub elements. For the label launch, the London-based collective put together a 13 track 'Various Artists' compilation of some of their favourite producers. Named "Magnetic Fields", the V/A is focusing on electric atmospheres and textures, locking the listener deep in the groove and the hypnosis. From drone and euphoric atmospheres to detailed broken-techno, the compilation displays a textured view on contemporary techno, elegant and mental, yet ready for the clubs to re-open.
