Sounds From NoWhere welcomes aboard the Belgian dj & producer Derlich (Zhark Recordings).

Derlich began to experiment with sound manipulation back in 2006, where upon an unrealised desire to create a certain feeling and aesthetic left him unsatisfied with his initial work.
After years of experimentation, natural progression lead him towards the darker and more extreme sides of music. 
His passion for art, derelict landscapes, and abandoned locations feeds the inspiration to work in this shadowy area of electronic music. 
Utilising elements of abstract noise, techno, and Industrialism, Derlich's music is deep, dark and hypnotic experimentalism at its very best.
In a live environment, Derlich uses a combination of DJ and Live PA elements to create a brutal and hypnotic wall of texture and sound.
We're thrilled to host this great set today traversing his diverse sound.

"Jorge Fons - Live of Senses" sets the tone with a sci-fi and deep sound. Throughout the track, listeners are taken on a journey, immersing themselves in a high-quality sonic hypnosis. This is followed by the remix by Obscur, which adds a raw edge while maintaining the sci-fi essence that distinguishes the track, undoubtedly a remix that listeners will enjoy. "Δαίμων Εαυτού" for the ancient Greeks was the deity-protector who lived inside each person from birth to death, something like today's "Guardian-angel" and the correct translation of the phrase basically means "I act according to what my conscience thinks is right".
The title was not chosen at random. It is a phrase in ancient Greeks that precisely defines his inner world and his choice not to be imprisoned in stereotypes and "must do" that do not characterise him as a human being. We would say that he has always been absolute in his beliefs and the values ​​that he think we need in a society to be able to express our respect and our love, our humility and our honesty.
"In a world where "appearance" is more important than "soul", thinking about your fellow human being is a small revolution."

Davide Avaltroni aka Aval started as a producer in 2017 and then moved on to mixing.
In 2019 he founded Kollective Re-Search together with other local artists and began performing live and as a DJ. His musical research focuses mainly on melodic techno. Classics and soundtracks inspire his work.

Today, in addition to producing and performing with his collective, his research also finds expression in other areas, such as Dutch and Berlin techno which brings him closer to vinyl.

This mix, entitled (Architecture from Space), the first of the series, is the result of this alternative research, which consolidates the melodic timbre and introduces bpm and underground sounds with
a perpetual groove, never explored before. An alternative selection of songs, which opens the horizons to new experiments and sound sensations.
