Today's mix in our 'delayed x mostra' collaboration is a live recording from one of our ultimate favorites, Estrato Aurora, who joined forces with flamenco artist Ana Sola to create quite a unique symbiosis. 
The live performance of Estrato Aurora and Ana Sola at the extraMostra party in Barcelona was a stunning display of the seamless fusion of two seemingly distinct genres. As the deep techno beats unfolded, Ana Sola's soulful voice cut through the electronic soundscape with raw power and emotion. The duo's ability to bridge the gap between electronic music and traditional flamenco is impressive.
The combination of Estrato Aurora's deep techno production and Sola's passionate flamenco singing created a unique experience, showcasing the power of music to transcend genre and cultural boundaries. 

The crew behind MOSTRA has held 23 ExtraMostra events in venues and clubs of all sizes in Barcelona, as well as public facilities and other cities in Spain, such as Madrid, Valencia, and Seville. We have been abroad to London, Berlin, Porto, and Amsterdam.

- Why? Because MOSTRA wants to: 

1) To program local artists that sometimes have a hard time getting into the circuit of commercial venues and big festivals 
2) To collaborate with labels and collectives with which we feel identified or have a similar style to ours 
3) To bring artists that we really like from abroad and that usually don't come to Barcelona 
4) To bring artists from Barcelona to play abroad, Massa or Imox, for example.

As soon as the pulsating bassline of 'Cuarcita' kicks in, you know you're in for a mind-bending ride. The track's hypnotic groove grabs you by the ears and doesn't let go, transporting you to a world of deep, dark techno that pulses with a raw energy that is hard to resist. The intricate layering of sounds and textures adds an almost mystical quality to the track as if you're exploring some ancient temple deep in the heart of the jungle. The way the different elements of the track build and evolve is nothing short of masterful, creating a soundscape that is both mesmerizing and exhilarating.

Estrato Aurora's production skills are truly on display in 'Cuarcita,' showcasing a deep understanding of the genre and an unerring ability to craft a track that grabs hold of your senses and doesn't let go. The crisp, clean percussion is perfectly balanced against the driving bassline, creating a rhythm section that is both relentless and deeply satisfying. This kind of track demands to be played loud and on a good sound system, as the sheer power and intensity of the sound can be overwhelming in the best possible way. 'Cuarcita' is a masterpiece of deep techno that cements Estrato Aurora's reputation as one of the most exciting producers in the genre.

'Cuarcita' is part of a phenomenal five-track 'El Margen' EP and is set for release on April 24th via consistently good Alpengluchen record label, run by our dear friend Alfonso Pomeda aka F-on. The release will be available on vinyl only, so make sure to grab a copy of this masterful deep techno record.

PREMIERE: Estrato Aurora - Cuarcita [Alpenglühen]

ABSIS' 'Speed Traces' is a track that instantly caught my attention with its hypnotic beat and captivating rhythm. The track is part of 'Saw' EP, which deep dives into the world of low-slung techno. 'Speed Traces' features a half-step rhythm that creates a groovy, almost trance-like atmosphere, drawing the listener in and keeping them hooked from start to finish. The percussive elements are intricate and precisely layered, resulting in a rich, dynamic sound that evolves throughout the track. The two sequences within the track flow seamlessly, each building upon the previous one and creating a sense of momentum that drives the track forward.

The track has a specific energy that's hard to describe but impossible to ignore - it's the kind of track that grabs you by the shoulders and makes you move. I can imagine this track coming on in a dark club, with the strobe lights flashing and the bassline vibrating through the floor (oh wait, that's exactly how ABSIS' set at Mostra sounded and looked like!). 
The rich and nuanced sound design shows ABSIS' expertise in producing techno, and the overall mood and atmosphere of the track make it a perfect addition to any techno set.

Saw EP is coming out on April 21 via the consistently good German record label AFFIN.

Italian duo Davide Perrone and Gabriele Giuggioli have been releasing music as Primal Code for 5 years now, consistently illustrating vivid atmospheric dub techno soundscapes with varying degrees of energy. 

With releases on Hypnus Records and Kalahari Oyster Cult, in addition to many VA compilations, the duo’s productions have become a staple in deep techno sets for the past few years.

Today we premiere their new track “Adansonia”, the opener from GLYPHS:WOOD, the next release on Polygonia’s Munich-based Qeone imprint. The track is more glitchy than the duo’s previous work, but features their signature sounds that are equal parts intergalactic, dreamy, aquatic.
