We are delighted to welcome the artists Elisa Batti, Irina Kotik, Slow Dimension, Vice City and Kato de Vidts for this second volume accompanied by the visuals of Daisy de Montjoye.

In this EP composed entirely by women, each track has an evocative female name. Their work takes us on a sonic odyssey through the ages and cultures. Like an invitation to journey into the mind, we travel introspectively to mystical and distant lands. Each track creates a musical expression that is both
dark and radiant, flowing together to form a circle.

This circle represents both women's power and solidarity, and this EP is a celebration of their work and creativity.

Whispers of the Valley is a three-part opus, highlighting the talent of emerging and established artists alike, including a remix by Luigi Tozzi.

The project came to life with a field recording sample bank gathered during a workshop at La Vallée Electrique 2022, from which we asked producers to compose a unique track using at least one sample.

The valley is quiet and silent, only disturbed by the light whispering of the wind in the trees. The sounds are soft and soothing, mixing rhythmic notes and murmuring voices. The melodies envelop the tranquil landscape and invite to a meditative walk.

Sunlight streams through the leaves, creating shifting shadows on the valley floor. The songs of the bees add to the natural melody and complete the calm and peaceful landscape. The golden hour approaches ...

Alessandro Baroncini is talian DJ and producer based in the Venetian lagoon. His music is a mixture of deep, hypnotic and atmospheric sounds.

In September 2023, Melifera Records announced a call for producers. We asked electronic music composers to send us a track created using at least one sample from our bank. This bank was made up of field recordings made by festival-goers during a workshop at our festival La Vallée Électrique.

The aim was to celebrate the creativity of our community of French and international artists.

We selected our favourite 20 and asked the legendary Luigi Tozzi if he could support the project with a remix.

This is how Whispers of the Valley was born: a Various Artists in three opuses, the crystallisation of a collective work. From the recording of the samples to the release of these twenty-one pieces of music, we are proud to have made Melifera a creative vehicle for this magnificent community.

Part 2 of this EP series is set for release on 15th April.

ACCENTVA007 - Various Artists 007 is a kind of state of the art, a mapping of the contemporary deep experimental and techno music scene. This musical work is without any doubt the most consequent and ambitious release of the label. It is a question here of showing through nearly 2h30 of music the beauty and diversity of the current musical scene, of what it has of specific, here and there, through the glances of artists from all over the world, emerging or now known, women and men. Each of them has added a stone to the edifice by marking an original sound piece with his signature. So many facets in this kaleidoscopic and multi-cultural collective work, which gives us a glimpse of new musical possibilities. This immense testimony is not only a marker of the contemporary era but also an aesthetic door to what tomorrow can be; and it is in this luminous and hopeful vision that the cover is intended as a symbol. The thousand-year-old olive tree is, through its fruit, a gift to humanity and, through its strength, a powerful testimony to its resistance to time, to its place in the landscape, through the strength of its roots and the beauty of its knots.
